This was a great holiday. The walking were challenging but well planned and Jakob our guide took great care of us brining extra treats along the way. The accommodation was nice, and I liked the contrast between busy Port de Soller and quieter Lluc. A couple of walks ended with the opportunity to swim which was particularly lovely!

He was great. He managed a group of hikers with varying paces well, and brought extra snacks. He was good at looking after our safety in the mountain.
Make sure you are booking on the right grade of trip- there had beed some confusion in our group with some travellers thinking they had booked on a moderate week when it was in fact challenging. Everyone managed the walks-with Jacobs help-but good to get what you expect!!
Very well thought through itinerary in beautiful and sometimes spectacular locations. Exceptional guiding from Jacob who was flexible to the needs of the group and a font of local information, positivity and encouragement.

Roseanna was fantastic. She had a great personality and made sure everyone in the group feel relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. She deserves 'Guide of the year' trophy if you award one.
Make sure you get Roseanna as your guide. I believe she will be running this trip next year and I might well book it again.

The hotel the first night in Seattle was a little dated but it was clean and comfortable.
Mike our tour guide was AMAZING!!! He was very knowledgeable, I loved his commentary, a good cook. Nothing was ever a problem for him to try and accommodate all of us and make things happen. He was laid back, funny, caring and a really genuine guy. He made the trip extra.
The itinerary was awesome and thanks to Mike’s knowledge, we were able to do the road less travelled by other tourists.

It goes without saying the Amalfi coast really is stunning! All the places we visited had a picture postcard view and the weather was 100% perfect!
The free day trip to Capri. Having travelled solo and meeting with four other solo ladies we quickly struck up a fantastic rapport from the beginning. We had many great times throughout the week however the day trip to Capri exceeded my expectations. Another special time was on the day of departure when the five of us ventured into Bomerano and found Agriturismo Il Pettirosso. An absolute gem! A little out of the way from the main town so not good in the sense of safe footpaths however the meal served was the most authentic and delicious meal of the week along with local wine. Perfecto!!
Veriano is a very capable and knowledgeable group leader with a necessary quick sense of humour. The walks were relatively short compared to other holidays I have done so my only piece of constructive criticism would be to have more time spent enjoying the walk and less time in the extremely busy destinations of Amalfi and Positano. Both of these destinations are interesting and picturesque however the sheer volume of people takes away some of the beauty. Personally I would have preferred to have time to enjoy the views along the way than endure the chaos. The day we walked to Amalfi there was a cruise ship in the port and subsequently there was an overwhelming number of people. Veriano was quick to act of my request to escape by offering an alternative cove of Atrani. That made all the difference and we had a lovely little afternoon on the beach.
The trip notes are clear about the number of steps down. I would recommend taking at least one pole to relieve the stress on your knees. I don't normally have issue with steps however I was struggling on the second day, even with a pole. I wish I'd used it from the start and it would have made life more comfortable although it's always surprising how quickly the body is able to recover and by day three I was feeling stronger.
The Amalfi coastline is everything the tour books promise. The clear blue sea water, beautiful scenery with numerous villages clinging to the cliffs. There’s a photograph at every turn. Be prepared for it to be busy. I don’t think I have been anywhere with just so many tourists! I went in October and all the main attractions/sights were still over-run with visitors. Hotel due Torri is in a quieter village and easy to reach from Amalfi by bus. The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff helpful and polite. The pizza is great! The hotel was full – 3 or 4 Exodus groups so the dining room was noisy. The food was OK. For me just too much carbohydrate and not enough fresh vegetables and fruit. With hindsight, I should have excused myself from the evening meal and eaten in one of the many good restaurants in the village.
Ravello is the highlight of this tour. First it is the quietest place on the programme. It is elegant and sophisticated; an absolute delight.
The group leader was a facilitator rather than a leader.
The Amalfi Coast should be on everyone's Bucket List. The pace of the holiday is leisurely however the places you visit (with the exception of Ravello) are manic. If you are looking forward to good Italian food and wine I'd suggest you eat out.
Great sites, lovely fellow travellers…guides great fun and helpful throughout…fascinating country with big old cities and lovely coastline and mountains. Will return one day.
