Our group had 10 people in it -a really great size. Our guide was great-super knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Our accommodations in Umbria were wonderful.

Loved everything
Enjoyed his dry sense of humour very much
Italy was a highlight!
Nicco was an excellent guide. It is difficult to get a balance between imparting knowledge & seeming to constantly lecture people but Nicco generally managed to find this balance.

Very busy trip with some days of long travel between venues , but plenty of comfort stops / lunch stops along the way Saw many major cultural sites and so much history with associated information provided by Gaj ( leader) or local guides at venues. Some hotels had swimming pools so worth taking your swim gear. A cool down after the day spent in bright sunshine and 40 degree heat was most welcome .
Difficult to pick one , obviously the Taj Mahal hugely impressive but then again the history of some forts/ temples/ towns also impressive.
Gaj dealt very well with a challenging individual in the group , whose behaviour ranged from hysterical meltdown ( matching a level usually only seen in a toddler) , general passive /aggressive attitude and comments , who also had an inability to follow simple instructions regarding timekeeping and not wandering off alone - something the rest of the group complied with which then meant we spent ages hanging around waiting for said individual to be retrieved from a cultural building in order for us all to move on . Gaj remained professional , courteous , diplomatic and polite at all times despite some obvious provocation from aforementioned person. Gaj was more than happy to discuss his home nation , culture , history and current problems.
Take some sweets/snacks for the minibus. Lunch en route may not happen at specific times so wise to have own supply if peckish. Take swim gear , sun screen and a hat. Go with the flow , enjoy the experiences and food .
Our guide, Rit, took this from a great experience to a brilliant one, he was a rock star and he alone would be enough for us to book another trip with you
So many, but the main ones were cycling along quiet roads beside the rice paddy fields and the fruit trees; a night in the Mekong Delta: and the food, OMG the food was wonderful !!
Rit is a rock star, do whatever you need to do to keep him !
The Exodus team were just fantastic. Led by Lam who was perfect guide. Sieu and the 2 Vu’s driving were great fun, very competent and thoughtful and could not have done more for us. Logistics were seamless at every hotel arrival and departure.
Dalat and the 30km descent, hotel-wise the Hon Tam Merperle was lovely. Rain/poor visibility meant the pass wasn't very good but would be stunning in clear weather.
Lam was simply excellent.
From beginning to end this trip was one wow moment after another. The trip itinerary is well structured into 4 parts, all quite different. Trekking the jungle in Bukit Lawang and being lucky to see so many orangutan was unbelievably moving. The two very different stays in the chilled out beach town of Sanur and Ubud with its monkey forest (not on the itinerary but a must to visit). Flores islands were just stunning, loved the two nights sleeping on deck quite literally under the stars. The unexpected highlight of this trip was probably the snorkelling ….never have I seen such a variety of fish, corals and abundance of life underwater.
So many moments, the very human like and curious orangutans, being charged at by a 3 meter long male Komodo, the tranquility of the temples and the peace just sitting on deck watching the sunrise in the mornings. The walk up the hill on Padar was worth every step to watch sunsetting over the islands.
Ely is one of the best. She guided us efficiently and effortlessly through many flights, journeys and experiences over the 14 days. Her enthusiasm never faltered even keeping us company on what should have been her rest days. Her concern for our safety was paramount even sitting in the tender boat watch over us whilst snorkelling. Ely made the trip the fantastic experience it was.
Long trousers a must for the jungle, be prepared because these leech get everywhere!
It was a really good trip… maybe a few less castles and extra time in Aqaba ..
The stay in the desert.
The group leader Amer was one of the best I have ever had… he’s English was spoken like a native and his knowledge was beyond excellent…he was able to answer every one of our questions and explained each site to the full… he was a great organiser when it came to preference for places to eat. I’m vegetarian and he made sure I was catered to..he knew all the best restaurants that were not too expensive..
Take photo copies of your passport and insurance…need sea shoes for the Dead Sea and the Red Sea…
