BEWARE OF THE REFUND POLICY

DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS CANCELLATIONS, EXODUS ARE NOT HONOURING REFUNDS. WE HAD A PROMISE OF A REFUND IN WRITING AND NOW THEY HAVE GONE BACK ON THEIR WORD...NOW SEEKING LEGAL ADVICE.

I doubt this will make the forum...

I have requested a refund but have been told that they are 'not offering refunds due to the volume of affected bookings and the extraordinary circumstances'

As from Sunday 22nd the extraorrdinary circumstances have left me without a job so will need the refund to tied me over until I can get another job.

I will also take legal advice

They need to face up to their responsibilities and give a full refund. A voucher for future travel will be worthless if the company goes under, or if people are unable or unwilling to travel at another time.

Simon Calder, travel expert has said that they can offer a voucher but we do not have to accept it.

They are duty bound by law to give us our money back.

This is uncertain times for me and my family and I need the refund as mine and my families circumstances have changed.

Having the same problems. Can't believe exodus want to alienate their loyal customer base at this time. If enough people need to challenge this we may have to join together for a class action. Legally they must honour their terms and conditions otherwise they are not worth the paper they are written on.

I am in the same boat as you guys. I have not yet accepted the refund note as I am aware it could be worthless. I know ABTA have been trying to get the government to step in and guarantee refunds but it all seems a bit confused. They are talking about a 'refund credit note' which should be guaranteed but there are rules attached that say it must be for the original amount and it is fairly short term.

Has anyone had any more specific legal advice yet?

Only the advice online and in the money pages of newspapers which are quite clear that we are entitled to a refund.

Have any of you guys managed to get anywhere with seeking legal advice? I am in the same situation now as all holidays to the end of June have been cancelled.
