Awesome holiday
A great week walking in the Alps, magnificent views, changing terrain, good company and food, pleasant accommodation and a very competent leader
Most Inspirational Moment
It was all great, with a new highlight everyday. Lac Blanc on the final day was magnificent but some of the quieter locations were also very special
Thoughts on Group Leader
Group leader was great, clearly a very competent mountaineer, with strong knowledge of the flora and fauna as well as the local terrain. Egle also had a great good humoured manner of keeping the group together whilst letting people find their pace.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Consider also the other variant TMB holidays that Exodus offer. This one is probably the toughest! Carrying all you kit in a backpack in hot weather is hard work, believe most of us wish we had packed lighter!

Do not miss this trip
A challenging, awe inspiring hike!
Cool evenings and unseasonably warm days in the valleys. Great friends made. Wildlife discovered. Windy cold and amazing summits. Fresh local produce and cheeses.
Most Inspirational Moment
Looking down on field after field of lush green pastures full of wild flowers and being surrounded by snow covered peaks, while hearing the streams rushing by and cow bells over the next ridge.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Egle is exceptionally suited to lead groups through these mountains. She truly loves them and shared that love of the mountains with her group.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take training for this hike very seriously.
Be sure to practice ascents and even more descents on loose footing.

Well done
I offer the following comments
First, Jenny and Mark were extraordinary tour leaders. They were thoughtful, attentive and kind. and very knowledgeable
Second, the walks were great; the scenery delightful.
Third, while I am not a coffee drinker, I heard a number of our group wish the hotel’s dining room would offer coffee/tea before the 730 am start to breakfast. some of the group awoke early and would have dearly liked a good cup of coffee, and there was none to be had. please consider.
Fourth, we started each day with a bus ride. However, the local buses were often late or the lines of riders very very long, thus delaying the start to our hikes. Please consider having a bus available for the group to start the day.
Most Inspirational Moment
some of the views of the Dolomites from trailheads or close to trailheads.
Thoughts on Group Leader
great!
Advice for Potential Travellers
As we stopped at mountain huts each day for lunch, no need to worry about carrying a lunch any day.
bring good hiking poles.

Challenging and Rewarding Trek
This was my first group trek and my first multi day hike. It was absolutely gorgeous and also very challenging at times. The scenery was stunning. Every day was very long with a lot of climbing and descending which came with some extremely rewarding views. There were 10 of us in the group and we all got along great. At the end of the day we all looked forward to a shower and sitting together having a beer before dinner.
Most Inspirational Moment
On the second to last day there is a 600m vertical to climb via switchbacks. It was hot and challenging but at the top we sat and enjoyed our lunch looking out over the valley and really just soaking in what we had accomplished. Then the hike continued along a ridge between a glacier and another valley. The entire day was just soul healing from the exertion from the climb and being surrounded by the natural beauty.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Egle was exceptional. She was extremely professional and had a very strong quiet leader approach. She could answer any questions that were posed to her about the wildlife, flowers, or landscape. She really let us have the hike each of us needed.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Training for this trek is absolutely necessary. It is important to make sure you can enjoy the experience and not just get through it.

Challenging and so rewarding!
This was my first time on a group trip, and I signed up with a few friends. Loved everyone in the group, and meeting so many different people really added to my experience. The sections of the TBM are challenging and gorgeous. It is an incredible area of the world.
Most Inspirational Moment
So many, but the non-stop views, wildflowers, and wildlife spotting!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Egle was an excellent guide! I can't recommend her enough. All of us on the trip kept saying how her energy and knowledge really added to our experience.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Several of the days are straight up and then straight down, so train to be prepared for lots of elevation gain and loss. And pack light! We washed clothes in the sink each evening so we only needed two outfits.

Wholesome experience in the Italian Apennine Mountains
Beautiful scenery (from the wilderness areas to the villages), great company and wonderful food in the Abruzzo region of the Apennines. The walks were a fantastic introduction to the area and highlighted the wide array of plants and animals, with beautiful trees and plenty of wildflowers. We spent peaceful moments watching for wildlife, spotting chamois, wild boar and a distant pack of wolves. The trip profits are donated to Rewilding Apennines to support their diverse conservation efforts which makes the experience that much better!
Most Inspirational Moment
It was wonderful to learn about the conservation efforts of the Rewilding Apennines team. It is a multi-faceted project and it was a real privilege to be shown camera trap footage of the many different rare and endangered mammal species that call the area home.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Filippo was an inspiration. He showed his passion for the region and its wildlife and ecosystems every step of the way. He has so much knowledge of the plants, animals and even the geology of the area and encouraged a sharing of our own experiences and knowledge from around the world.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Savour and enjoy the peacefulness of the whole experience while watching for rare wildlife and hopefully you will get lucky.

Lukas was very informative, energetic and enthusiastic!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Relatively flat route and distances were not overwhelming so this trip would be a good one for those wanting to find out what a cycling tour is like. That, plust the history and scenery makes this an attractive choice.

Amazing People and Places, But Execution Fell Short in Spots
My thoughts on this trip are a bit mixed.
Pros:
Our tour guide, Veriano, was fantastic—funny, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was truly one of the best parts of the trip. He took great care of us and paced the itinerary well, allowing us to see and experience a lot without feeling rushed. Having him handle all the logistics in advance was a huge benefit—it allowed us to maximize our time and fully enjoy each location. One highlight was the convertible bus ride from Amalfi, which he arranged as a surprise—absolutely unforgettable! I also really enjoyed the group of fellow travelers—such kind, interesting people who added so much to the experience.
Cons:
Working with Exodus was more challenging than expected. Their process seems geared primarily toward travelers from the UK, especially when it comes to flights and logistics, so coming from elsewhere was more complicated and less cost-effective. The trip also got off to a rocky start—the initial tour leader who was supposed to meet us at the airport was 40 minutes late, and no one from Exodus or the local team contacted us. It left several of us wandering the airport, unsure of what to do. Thankfully, things improved significantly once we connected with Veriano.
I had mixed feelings about the hotel (Hotel Due Torri). There was rarely anyone at reception, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. Meals were served in a large, hot, noisy dining room where the hotel owner’s dog frequently barked, and the breakfast staff came across as unhappy and even dismissive—at one point, a breakfast staff member made fun of one of us in Italian saying, “I guess she can’t read”. That said, there were bright spots—Salvatore and a few other team members were warm and welcoming, and the cooking demonstrations were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t measure up to other meals I’ve had in Italy.
Like many travel experiences, this trip had both highlights and lowlights. Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity and the wonderful people I met, but I’d likely consider a different travel company in the future.
