Tom Harari

Tom’s first foray outside of Europe was to Tanzania when he was 16 years old. Little did he know at the time that this would lead him on a path that would take him around the world. He lived and travelled extensively on four continents and lead tours from Mexico to Patagonia and from Nairobi to Cape Town. Whether it's roaming the bazars of Central Asia, spotting Orang-utans in Borneo or enjoying a braai in South Africa, Tom is just happy when exploring the world.

Forget Your Preconceptions: Travelling in Iran

“Hello, where you from?” an Iranian man asks me. I’m leaning against an arch beneath the Royal Bridge in Isfahan watching a group of young men who are just hanging out and singing. They’re not buskers or performers, just some friends having a sing-along, part of a long artistic tradition rich in music and poetry. As for the man who approaches me, he’s promenading along the river with his family.
