The Amalfi Coast is filled with captivating sights and you can explore the region in many different ways. You might want to try trekking, go for a bike ride, or take to the water on a sailing trip. Here are some of the most popular ways to experience an Amalfi Coast holiday:

Walking the Amalfi Coast
With so many beautiful things to see, taking it slow with a walking tour is one of the best ways to take it all in. You’ll visit several stunning towns and villages along the way, including Bomerano and Amalfi, which are home to magnificent buildings and rich culture.

See legendary sites
Visit the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii and discover perfectly preserved artefacts that have survived for millennia. Explore what remains for an enriching as well as emotional experience. You’ll also get the chance to ascend Mount Vesuvius as we take you over 3,250 feet up, giving you phenomenal views of the area.

Explore the islands of the Amalfi Coast
Islands like Capri, Procida, and Ischia are all beautiful, and this tour gives you access to them with ample time to explore and take in the sights on offer.

Cycle around Cilento & the Amalfi Coast
Cycling tours of the Amalfi Coast let you cover more ground and take in some stunning sights as you follow the trails. You can see the cultural treasures of Campania and visit many unspoilt areas in Cilento too.

Walk the ‘Path of the Gods’
This is one of the world’s finest walks and offers picturesque views of the coastline and hillsides filled with vibrant flowers. This trail takes up to two hours to complete, making it a suitable duration for many visitors to the area.

Katharine Barnes Walking the Amalfi Coast

The weather in March was mixed, but we only got wet once or twice. In general the weather was good for walking, and later in the week there was plenty of sun.
Most places looked like they were just getting reason for the season, with much painting and repairs being done. Being this early meant most places were quiet, so no queuing or traffic jams.

What is the best time to visit the Amalfi Coast?

The two best times to visit the Amalfi Coast are between September and October or April and May. This is because the weather is great but not too hot, so you can explore without needing frequent breaks in air-conditioned cafés. Be sure to pack a hat and sunglasses to protect your head when exploring throughout the day and then pack your most stylish outfits for the evening time. The Amalfi Coast is known for being a sophisticated destination, so you’ll want to fit in when you visit restaurants and bars along the coast.

What's the weather in Amalfi Coast?

It’s sunny weather for most of the year in this part of Italy. Summer months like July average highs of 29°C and lows of 22°C, which makes it a great time for lying on the beach and exploring the beautiful islands just off the coast.

However, during the cooler months like January, you can expect highs of 12°C and lows of 8°C, which is a mild temperature for taking in all of the cultural sights. There’s a lot of walking required during an Amalfi Coast tour, so some prefer to visit when the temperatures are lower.
