Superb Trek
This was one of my favourite treks . We saw absolutely no other tourists on this trek . In the villages , the local people were so friendly . We managed to converse in pigeon french and were shown the local toad pond by some little boys in one village , had mint tea in a villagers home in another and were dressed as brides in another village . Everyone was so hospitable .
Most Inspirational Moment
After the steep climb in the final day , we came over the ridge at the top to view the most amazing camp site I have ever seen . It was perched on a high plateau overlooking and surrounded by canyons and mountains . It was truely amazing . I felt like I was in the Grand Canyon . The views of the stars that night was stunning
We also saw Berber graveyards in the mountains - beautiful

Mohammed was our man leader , with Mo as the deputy. Mohammed was so friendly and generous with his time . He was always available to help and reassure and constantly checking on our safety . I was very impressed
Tje food was superb - fresh salads and hot foods even on the picnics
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you want a totally off the beaten track trek Jen do this one . It was amazing
Take at least 2 portable chargers
The only cold day was the day we summited Jebel
Take a sun hat and a lot of sunscreen
Do the traditional hamman on the last day - a very unusual and fun experience

Ancient Egypt & Nile Cruise
It was a great trip, lovely group, excellent guide, good itinerary
Most Inspirational Moment
Camel ride!

He was fantastic. It was irriating that everything was preferred to be paid in cash - having a system for card payments would be cheaper and more convenient for us, and surely easier for him too. I was shocked how much cash some people carry!

Ancient Egypt & Nile Cruise
Everything was very well arranged and we had an excellent guide whose enthusiasm inspired us all. The day in Cairo was rather busy but overall the trip was very well planned and we saw some mind blowing sites every day. We also loved the quiet moments cruising along the Nile
Most Inspirational Moment
There were so many it is hard to single out one so to list a few, they were the first tomb we entered with the amazing colours, the Tutankhamen exhibits in the museum and the tomb of Tutankhamen. Closely followed by Abu Simbel.

Ahmed was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the history and culture was superb and the enthusiasm with which he imparted it was second to none. We all felt we could not have had a better guide. His kindness and thoughtfulness was also wonderful.

Ancient Egypt & Nile Cruise
It was a wonderful trip made all the better by the excellent leader/guide Ahmed who went over and above the norm to make this a truly exceptional experience. We have now been on 3 trips with Exodus Travels and each one has been very well organised and perfectly executed. We have seen all that we hoped and expected to see plus more besides. The holidays are great value. The staff are highly motivated and well trained. The holidays provide is with exactly what we need and want.
Most Inspirational Moment
Being in Tutankhamun’s tomb and the cruise on the Nile. Great food. Fun entertainment.
Thoughts on Group Leader
This was our 3rd trip with Exodus Travels and we feel Ahmed was our best tour leader so far. His knowledge of the history and culture of Egypt was excellent and he imparted that knowledge with skill and good humour. He is a great story teller.

Excellent trip
Food wasn’t amazing but other than that, everything was great. Amazing scenery and culture, friendly people, and no doubt you’ll have amazing people sharing the trip with you.
Most Inspirational Moment
Probably the Sahara Desert, with the scenery, sunsets, sunrises, camel ride, stargazing, music and seeing big beetles leaving tracks across the sand dunes.
Also the Gite (and Hammam) in the Atlas Mountains, and the storks at Ait Ben Haddou.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent, probably the best I’ve had so far.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Book it! Don’t expect comfort, but it’s amazing trip you’ll never forget.

Wonderful Morocco!
I went to Morocco to experience a different culture and to see the beautiful country. Unfortunately, I had to leave the tour after day 4 due to some health issues. Our tour guide, Mohammad, was so helpful in getting me to the appropriate place to go on my return trip. He was an excellent guide that was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very professional. All of us on the tour were very fortunate to have him as our guide.

Excellent

An amazing holiday
This is a fast paced holiday, with lots of places to be and even more things to see. Every day brings new wonders. Our whole, lovely group, said that they had taken far more photos than they had expected to. The scenery, especially in Kyrgyzstan, is awesome. The buildings, and statues, are built on an epic scale. Countryside, cityscape, desert landscape, lakes this holiday has it all. One of our group summed it up “Before I came people asked me “Where? Why on earth would you go there?” Now I would reply “why on earth wouldn’t you”. There are long drive (with plenty of stops) and early starts but that’s what allows you to see so much. The train rides in Uzbekistan added to the feel of adventure. I’m in my sixties, and I like my sleep, I certainly never expected to actually enjoy being woken in the middle of the night to travel to the station, catch a sleeper train and back to sleep for three hours! When I woke I was in the middle of a desert, with a glorious red sunrise shining across the land and it was stunning. If you’re thinking about this holiday then book it asap. Oh and the food in all three countries was fantastic.

Almost too many inspiring moments to count
In Kyrgyzstan it was probably watching the eagle handler and holding the eagle myself; all with an amazing mountain backdrop.
I like my food so being sent into to supermarkets in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to buy food for picnic lunches was something I, and the rest of our group, really enjoyed.
In Uzbekistan possibly going out to the ancient forts in the Kyzylkum desert was an unexpected experience. The addition of the desert and Khiva is a great one. It's hard to imagine the holiday ending earlier; it just would not have been the same
Thoughts on Group Leader
Both Vitaly (Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) and Dilshod (Uzbekistan) were excellent. They had different life experiences and both opened their countries up for us to experience and enjoy.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take luggage that is mobile as you will be moving around and changing modes of transport a lot. We went in October as it was getting a little cooler and the temperature in all three countries was good for us. Go and enjoy. This is a holiday where the memories stay with you.

Lovely Experience but three “issues”
So the views were beautiful, the walks invigorating, the company a joy. But I have to comment on three things. 1) Eduardo did us wrong arranging our trip out of Bomerano. We had originally booked a private transfer to the airport but changed plans after the trip began. I sent a request to Exodus to change it but never heard back. I called and was told someone would call me back. Never happened. I asked our tour leader and he said Eduardo was in charge of that at the local level. I met with Eduardo in person and he agreed verbally to take three of us to the ferry dock. When the day came he refused on the basis of the fact that one other person who needed to go to the airport had joined our private transfer. Then Eduardo added another guy not from the tour who needed to buy or pick up something in another town along the way. When I complained that here we had all paid extra for this private transfer and we got driven through this other town in all kinds of traffic and waited while this guy did his errand, Eduardo still refused to take us to the ferry dock even though he had verbally agreed to do so. Very unimpressive. 2) I understand why the itinerary had to be updated several times due to weather BUT we could never be sure what was what because it was hard to keep in mind the details of the sometimes confusing verbal instructions we were told each night. A simple email or WhatsApp set of detailed instructions about the next day sent each evening would have solved this issue. 3) both the room by the pool where we met each evening to get our information for the next day and the dining room have the most horrendous acoustics, making it hard to hear the verbal instructions, unpleasant to dine there, and less able to enjoy our fellow traveler’s company or even the meal. Some carpeting or acoustic panels on the ceilings or meeting in a different room would have solved this.

The Path of the Gods!!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Nico was very careful and took his responsibilities to us very seriously. This was surely not easy as the walks were challenging and I’d guess the average age in our group was mid-seventies. Anything could have happened but thanks to Nico there were no casualties.
