My thoughts on this trip are a bit mixed.
Pros:
Our tour guide, Veriano, was fantastic—funny, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was truly one of the best parts of the trip. He took great care of us and paced the itinerary well, allowing us to see and experience a lot without feeling rushed. Having him handle all the logistics in advance was a huge benefit—it allowed us to maximize our time and fully enjoy each location. One highlight was the convertible bus ride from Amalfi, which he arranged as a surprise—absolutely unforgettable! I also really enjoyed the group of fellow travelers—such kind, interesting people who added so much to the experience.
Cons:
Working with Exodus was more challenging than expected. Their process seems geared primarily toward travelers from the UK, especially when it comes to flights and logistics, so coming from elsewhere was more complicated and less cost-effective. The trip also got off to a rocky start—the initial tour leader who was supposed to meet us at the airport was 40 minutes late, and no one from Exodus or the local team contacted us. It left several of us wandering the airport, unsure of what to do. Thankfully, things improved significantly once we connected with Veriano.
I had mixed feelings about the hotel (Hotel Due Torri). There was rarely anyone at reception, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. Meals were served in a large, hot, noisy dining room where the hotel owner’s dog frequently barked, and the breakfast staff came across as unhappy and even dismissive—at one point, a breakfast staff member made fun of one of us in Italian saying, “I guess she can’t read”. That said, there were bright spots—Salvatore and a few other team members were warm and welcoming, and the cooking demonstrations were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t measure up to other meals I’ve had in Italy.
Like many travel experiences, this trip had both highlights and lowlights. Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity and the wonderful people I met, but I’d likely consider a different travel company in the future.
Fantastic!!
This trip was very good regarding place, people, guide, food and hikes. It was true to level 3 hiking.
Glacier hike/trip.
Flo was GREAT. He truly made this trip what it was. Kind, patient. He was attentive to everyone’s needs, monitored everyone during hikes, knowledge of area was top notch. I can’t say enough good things about Flo as a guide/leader.
DO THE glacier walk/hike if you go on this trip. Costs extra but DO IT. It is worth every penny - when will you get another chance possibly! The food AMAZING - much better than anticipated, 3 course meals at dinner. READ TRIP NOTES - the NES Gard facility DOES have shared bathrooms for single people even if you pay single supplement. Norway is a beautiful country worth visiting if you love nature. The hiking in my opinion was very doable - level 3 but lower level 3. The pace was not fast at all, everyone was able/capable on our tour. I would highly recommend this trip.
An incredible journey through Split, Hvar, Korčula, and on to Dubrovnik – stunning scenery, crystal-clear waters, and plenty of refreshing swims after each cycling adventure!
The whole group managing an 8km hill in 32 degree heat on the first cycling day!
Luka had a great sense of humour and helped give us a good insight into life in Croatia.
It can get very hot in the summer months! Enjoy the coastal views that you get on every day’s ride!
One of the best Exodus tours we have done. Norway is staggeringly beautiful, and we experienced it in a way that is simply not possible from the deck of a cruise ship. All the walks are linear, but the landscape is so varied that it never seemed repetitive. The accommodation was excellent, and Nes Gard is a real gem.
Hard to say - Mt Molden, the glacier walk, the unpronounceable valley.....
Flo was outstanding. Always professional, caring, knowledgeable, and empathetic. He made a great trip an unforgettable one.
Get ready for all weathers, and bring a pair of gloves, even in the summer. The walks are harder than they look on paper - some of the paths are seriously uneven, and need attention, particularly on damp descents. Bring poles!
Fantastic week walking in beautiful Norway. Think I have fallen a little in love with the country and the people. Views were breathtaking. The itinerary was moved around to accommodate weather and later finishing. This worked well and we got a bonus trip to a local farm with an excellent cafe. I chose not to go on the glacier walk. I certainly didn’t miss out as the alternative walk was absolutely stunning.
Flo was first class. Very organised and worked hard to ensure we all got the best experience. Anders at Nes Gard went above and beyond in many ways including providing plasters for my blisters, and rustling up extra homemade bread. Both Flo and Anders made a huge effort to make us feel welcome.
Norway was not as expensive as I had feared. There are some long drives on this trip but the scenery definitely compensates. This trip is right at the top of my favourite Exodus holidays.
Just back from the most amazing week in the Alps. Breath-taking views on every walk. Level of walking requires some effort but very manageable. Our tour guide Tim was wonderful. Organised, patient, very knowledgeable about the area, flora & fauna and as a bonus he is an exceptional photographer so our group have come home with professional photographs of our trip. Caro & Sebastien run Chalet Chalupa & they looked after us so well. There were freshly baked treats to come back to every day & delicious 3 course meals every night. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a single thing about this trip & would highly recommend it to anyone.
The views from the Lac Blanc walk.

Don’t think twice - just book it.
There were so many unforgettable moments on this adventure, but seeing the wildlife in such a natural way, without lots of people round them, was incredible. Camping wild and going off-grid felt like an amazing reset and the tents were very comfortable. Couldn’t recommend this trip more!
Hmmm lots to choose from! Watching two elephants playfighting from the fly camp, being taught how to navigate using the stars by our tour leader, going to sleep to the sound of elephants and hippos.
Martin was incredible. His knowledge about the local wildlife, plants, culture and history was so impressive. He worked tirelessly to make sure we had an amazing trip, always making sure we were comfortable and safe. Such a pleasure to spend the week with him. His assistant Stuart was fantastic too - also went the extra mile to make sure we had a great trip!
A whirlwind of beautiful chateaux, wine tastings, historic towns, and a bit of walking
Moment # 1: Walking down a long, tree-lined allee to arrive at the first chateau at Chenonceau. Moment #2: Arriving at our first night's hotel and realizing that this was our lodging, not an unscheduled chateau to visit.
Yannis was the kind of group leader you want--knowledgeable, well organized, great fun. He was attentive and extremely helpful in helping some of us make return train arrangements, sought out our feedback, checked in with us along the way--all with a smile. We were also lucky to have Lucas as our van driver/travel companion.
There's minimal walking (the focus is more on culture and history), so walking boots/poles are really not necessary.
The perfect way to see the best of Italy for those who want to be outdoors and exercise
The group encouraging eachother if the cycling got tough
In one word Excellent. Manni the group leader and Leo the support guy always made sure we felt safe and made the whole day from breakfast to bedtime enjoyable and fun. Manni imparted all his knowledge concerning this area of Italy and was a brilliant guide.
If you are sitting on the fence about an electric bike then please have one. I consider myself fit, enjoy spin classes and cycle regularly. I chose and electric bike due to a recent injury, but boy oh boy I'm glad I did. The 'upward slopes' on hot windy days were challenging and that little bit of electric on the odd occasion made sure this was a holiday and not an endurace test........... 90% + of the time I used my own leg power so had a brilliant work out every day.
The trip was everything I’d hoped for and more! From the stunning ancient streets of Dubrovnik to the serene beauty of the islands, every moment was perfectly curated. The itinerary struck a brilliant balance of cultural immersion, active exploration, and essential relaxation, allowing us to truly soak in the magic of Croatia. The organisation was flawless, and the local insights provided were invaluable. I loved every minute and would highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in a truly breathtaking part of the world!
Korčula, Mljet, Badja, and Vrnik
Vanja. Punctual, precise, omnipresent, and with all the answers and all the maps. I could have not wished for a better tour leader. She's truly a fantastic person, and a great asset.
While cards are widely accepted, it is not compulsory for businesses to accept card payments, and some are cash only (euros). ATMs are everywhere (use the ones with the word "bank" in it for less fees), and then go ahead and try all the food.
