Hands down one of our favorite trips! Extremely well organized tour with an amazing leader. Every day was chock full of fantastic sights and awesome scenery. The Peruvian landscape, history and culture were captivating and I still can’t believe how much we experienced. There were some long days and early starts, but we loved every minute and will cherish each memory. Our fellow travelers were a great group and we shared a lot of laughs. Kudos to our leader Renzo for making this a seamless journey through his amazing country.

Adventure Holidays to Cuzco
Cuzco, known to the Incas as the navel of the universe, was the centre of the Inca empire. It is believed to be the oldest inhabited city in the western hemisphere. Situated at 3,480m in the Andes, it remains a city of unique beauty and fascination, its architecture deriving half from the Incas, who made it their capital, and half from the Spanish conquistadores who built their own capital on the massive stone foundations of the Incas. About 30 miles from Cuzco is the Sacred Valley of the Incas. A fertile slash of green in the centre of the inhospitable Andes, it’s a place of extraordinary peace and beauty. Guarded at its two ends by the fortresses of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, it was the Incas’ granary, feeding both Cuzco and the Machu Picchu.

shaelene Chapman The Inca TrailThis was, without a doubt, the best trek I’ve ever done! Starting with two days in Cusco, a city that’s not only beautiful but full of history and culture – I loved having the time to explore, and our guide offered fantastic recommendations for delicious Peruvian meals.
The Inca Trail itself was incredible. Every day brought stunning views, and there were soo many Inca ruins along the way! Day 2 (Dead Womans Pass) was definitely a challenge but so rewarding once reaching the top!
I was surprised by the quality of the camping, it was far better than expected. And the food – wow! The chefs prepared three-course meals that were absolutely delicious, and on the final night, we were treated to fresh-baked cake and mulled wine to celebrate – it exceeded all my expectations!
Overall, the trip was perfectly planned from start to finish. An unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Machu Picchu!
