A unique experience to get involved with one of our Responsible Tourism projects in Zambia
Zambia is an African gem filled with fantastic wildlife and beautiful scenery and this itinerary lets you experience all this fascinating country has to offer in as intimate a way as possible. Our first few two days are spent on one of our school Responsible Tourism projects, most likely at Kampasa school situated in an inner city shanty town in Lusaka. The school was set up in 2012 by a local businessman who converted it from a nightclub! There is much work to be done and we will be helping the school in its crucial development stage.
From Lusaka we head south to the banks of the Zambezi were we spend the next few days in a combination of project work and game viewing - and possibly even both at the same time!
The game viewing will include a 2 day canoe safari as we make our way down to Magurumeno Island, our base for our project work. This section of the Zambezi is renowned for its concentration of hippos and crocodiles, which you are guaranteed to see, and there is no better way to do so than drifting past in a canoe.
Our second project is Magurumeno school and orphanage where we have a variety of jobs in our two days here to help renovate the school and create a sustainable future.
This trip offers a genuine African experience allowing close encounters with the people, the wildlife and the natural beauty of Zambia.
