Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Don't go on this trip if you are into photography, you will find it seriously frustrating. I was embarassingly excited about the prospect of visiting the dunes and getting some amazing shots. However, we didn't go into the park until about 11am and had to be back on the road to drive out before sunset so I missed the light. We could have got up and gone in at 4.30 am to see the sun rise, but for some reason this trip doesn't do that. I was gutted.
On other occassions things seemed rushed even though there were only 6 of us. It took about 2 hours from waking up to being on the road every morning so we missed most of the good light and times for spotting wildlife.
If you are interested in the tribes and culture of Namibia be aware that the visit to the Himba was an awkward hour on one morning, (though I think this could be quite different in another village. )
