ISLAND PEAK

Spirits may sometimes have soared during the day but invariably came crashing back to Earth once we reached our accomodation and tasted our food.  I was last in Nepal 10 years ago and was impressed at how well they understood the tourist - provide basic but clean accomodation and cheap but filling food; I'm afraid standards have crumbled since then and the overwhelming perception was one of complacency and milking the traveller.

Really great trip, a nice mix of organised activities and free time, good bunch of people, lovely food and plentiful beer! Four unesco heritage sites and two passport stamps in a week - pretty good going!

JOURNEY TO PERSIA

5
No matter what I was told about friendly Persians, it didn't come close to the warmth and generosity that we were greeted with, everywhere we went. People wanted to take photos with us, stop for a chat and just wanted to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves in their country. The trip lived up to every expectation and more.

SAHARA DESERT TREK

A great holiday as far as it went!Unfortunately ruined by being cut short by Exodus with no real reason that any of our party could think of.We were all thoroughly enjoying it with no sign of trouble, the people of Syria being gracious, friendly and sociable.

A good mixture , with a good contrast of city and mountains. Just about enough time to discover Marrakech and then great trekking in the Atlas Mountains. Unforgettable scenery. The gite is pleasant and the staff very friendly.
