As I said to my daughter and boyfriend who came along too, 'Which would you rather be doing for New Year - getting a good soaking in the Trafalgar Square fountains or toasting in the year beneath the diamond bright desert stars whilst sat around a camp fire with Exodus friends.'

Want a magical way to spend New Year in a winter wonderland.  White, Cold, Clear air, frozen lakes, glistening snow, fireworks, laughter, crying, aches and achievements......oh and the very dodgy hotel entertainment!

This was my third Exodus trip and they have all been fabulous in very different ways.  This trip was packed full of the most incredible sights, it was like being on a film set!  There is always a worry that seeing something that you have read about or seen so much of on TV may disappoint but Egypt really exceeds any expectations.

I went on this trip without any expectations.  I have a fantastic time.  Saw more animals than I ever thought I would and met some great people in the group.  Zanzibar was fantastic and to spend New Years Eve in a sailing regatta with the locals will be something I will remember for a long time.

Intense...athletically challenging...a chance to focus on building skill and then putting it to use to explore far and wide through inspiring winter scenery...100km in 6 days over rugged up and downhill terrain.  The only Christmas week I've ever lost weight!

Rajastan is definately the place to start exploring India. The maharajas did their best to make the forts, palaces and tombs beautiful and majestic, but its walking the streets of Jaisalmer, marvelling at the carved columns of Ranakpur temples or visiting the local workshops that really brings it all to life.

Very much a holiday of two halves. Greatly enjoyed Syria, but some organisation / accommodation / transport in Jordan rather lacking.

Walker in Torres del Paine N.P, Patagonia, Chile

HIKING IN A THIN COUNTRY

Fabulous country. Up with Nepal, Vietnam, Peru - all of which I've visited - for variety and beauty of scenery. Great people, great food, excellent guide. Also, feels very safe....you don't feel the need to be so alert/streetwise as (say) Peru or Morrocco.

An excellent trip combining the history of the Inca Trail in Peru with the wildlife and relaxation on board a yacht in the Galapagos Islands.
