Cycling in Albania

A wonderful trip to an interesting country that few of us know much about. The cycling was - well, I think challenging is the word for the first and last day - certainly at the upper end of "moderate" if not beyond moderate, and that would include the opinion of the very experienced cyclists in the group - but don't let that put you off, as my wife and I, who cycle maybe 10 miles a week at the most, all on the flat, coped with the very mountainous terrain and significant distances. Food was great, if a bit monotonous (and good for non-meat eaters), accommodation varied from a little basic (but perfectly clean and acceptable) in the more rural areas, to fairly good in other areas. Roads were a bit mixed, with quite a lot of areas of potholes and uneven surfaces; traffic was very light and very respectful of cyclists; people were very friendly (although there is not much people-to-people contact), and the landscape was beautiful

Petra & Wadi Rum by Bike

What a way to see Jordan!

5
Tourism by bike proved to be my favourite kind of touring a country, I feel like we all got so much done and seen so much of Jordan than we would have, had we been taking normal transport, as we were always on the move and we covered MOST of the country. Jordan is such a beautiful country, full of history and holly sites, good food, lovely friendly people. Seeing it by bike makes it even more special as you get to appreciate the beautiful nature and whizz past villages and towns, say hello to the locals, who encourage you and all the kids who try to high-five you along the way.

Darjeeling, Sikkim & the Singalila Ridge

Sikkim and Singalina Ridge

I'd never been trekking before, and in many ways I wasn't looking forward to this holiday much, but I absolutely loved it, especially the trekking. What really surprised me was the quality of the support from the pony men, guides, and especially the cook, or cooks. The quality of the food was very impressive even when it was being carried about a campsite in a hail storm. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

Cuba: La Isla Grande

Coach tour of Cuba

5
A fifteen day tour of Cuba was wonderful, so much to see & learn. Our guide Jorge was knowledgeable, had a great personality & was very funny. Our driver Vincente did a great job, & I always felt safe with him at the wheel. Cuba is quite a large island & we spent quite a lot of time on the coach. This did'nt matter as there is so much to see & take in.Our hotels were fine, some better than others, but all did the job. Cuban food is somewhat bland but they really fill you up & the Pina Coladas were great. Some walking on this tour but nothing too strenuous. I felt Cuba was like nowhere I had been before, wonderful music, colourful, & lovely people. Two things they need to sort out: Banks! only one person allowed in at a time so changing money takes ages, use an ATM if possible. Coffee! they grow it in Cuba but the coffee is not good, it tastes like wet cardboard, No, I have not tasted wet cardboard but it tastes like I imagine it tastes. Our group was 17 strong, all lovely people, nobody kept the coach waiting. There were quite a lot of singles in our group but we were all good friends only days into the trip. Exodus do a grand job, there was nothing to complain about & I will use them again. Well done Exodus.

Self-Guided Cycling in Provence & the Luberon

Brilliant

5
Just come back from this cycling holiday and I must say it was fabulous. The hybrid bike, although a little dated, was very well maintained and the right bike for the trip. The route notes were very detailed and easy to follow. The accommodation was lovely, one in particular was a really great place to relax after a long day in the saddle. The routes were great and scenery spectacular. On the two "rest days" I managed to climb a couple of mountains. Both were worth the effort with amazing views from the summit.

Walking The Amalfi Coast

What a great holiday

5
This was my first time traveling alone since the death of my wife last year. I set off with some trepidation but need not have worried. I spent the week with 15 wonderful people and a group leader( Eric Woolley) who was so supportive to everyone. Yes the hotel was excellent and the food was top quality but it was the walking, the views, and the company that made this holiday so special. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in helping me get my life back on track. If you find yourself in my situation my advice would be to go for it.

Cycling Vietnam

Highly recommended: Cycling Vietnam

As mentioned in the previous reviews..."Fantastic tour well organized from beginning to end Wonderful way to see the country and sample the culture" The group leader and his support team were terrific, always happy, helpful and having fun making the experience more enjoyable. Having vehicle support along the rides meant, if any problems arise no-one gets left behind.
