Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Islands

Excellent holiday. Croatia is a beautiful place with stunning views and lovely food. We were given the option every evening to go on a group meal or go on our own and our group leader suggested good restaurants to people who preferred to do their own thing. The hotels we stayed in were all clean and the staff were friendly. The restaurants we ate in were excellent and not once did I have a bad meal. The walks were good and at an easy pace so everyone could keep up. We had a very large group of people on the trip, 20 I think in total with the youngest being a student and the oldest one aged 70 and we all got on well and had lots laughs

Namibia and Angola Experience

A fantastic trip into the remote south-west of Angola. A great feeling of adventure, as this was the first Exodus trip to run there for 7 years. It did feel as though we were pioneering the trip, as much had changed in that time, and much was unknown - such as where to find diesel for the vehicles! Our guide (Lucky) and 2 drivers (George and Cristiano) were brilliant. They worked so hard to make things work out and give us a tremendous time. The group of 7 of us got on well and made the experience really good fun as well. The food was always plentiful and very, very good. The downsides were perhaps to be expected in a trip which was starting up after a long gap: we couldn't do everything that the trip notes promised, e.g. The visit to ghost town could not happen as it was closed. The most important problem lay with the visit to Lubango, which had clearly changed in the last 7 years. The planned camp-site was deemed by the local military to be unsafe, and the eventual situation under the floodlit statue of Jesus was far from ideal. Given the host of lodges available in Lubango, this needs thinking about for future trips. Details of obtaining an Angolan visa could be made clearer - probably best to say look at the embassy web-site and follow their instructions. However, it was a brilliant experience, and Etosha really came up trumps with so many good animal sightings. The night at the Waterberg was a lovely way to finish.

Brazil: Land of the Jaguar

Went with the expectation that we'd hopefully see a jaguar or two and ended up having over a dozen jaguar sightings (at least one every boat trip except for our last trip) and some of those sightings being truly spectacular. It really was all that and more. The local guide Juan was excellent as were our boat drivers, and combined I'm pretty sure their the reason we had the luck we did.

Great walking, views and place to stay

This trip excelled our expectations in several ways. The scenery in the walks was magnificent with a good variety - villages, pastoral, wooded, rocky, ravines. The accommodation was very good with lots of facilities on site and a lovely town in short walking distance. The food also excelled expectations - lots of choice at breakfast and choices for the evening meal too. Beautiful quiet location, well-kept grounds - very quiet at night, ideal for sleeping well.

Highlights of Nicaragua

This was a wonderful holiday. Nicaragua is a developing country with a fascinating history and is really worth a visit. The itinerary felt carefully planned so we got an insight into the history and natural beauty of the country and at the same time, the impact of it's developing tourist industry. San Juan del Sur is a small seaside town which seems primarily aimed at young surfers from the US; Ometepe Island hosts a beautiful Eco resort on the shores of Lake Nicaragua where you can take in the wonder of the natural world alongside Nicaraguans going about their daily lives. Juan and Erlon (our guide and driver) were so friendly and knowledgeable and obviously so proud of their country - it was a pleasure to have them lead us in the trip - always accommodating and pointing out wildlife and sights that we would have definitely missed had we not been with them. Thank you to both of you! I would definitely recommend a trip.

Fantasic scenery, wonderful trip

We are a couple who went on the self guided heel of Italy cycling trip. We loved it, it was such a great experience, waking up every day and cycling in such a wonderful part of Italy. The first couple of days through olive groves and vineyards and the next days by the coast (which was my favourite as the scenery was amazing and stopping to swim in the coves that we came across was so much fun. Everyday we got to a great destination, and it was brilliant, just to have a wash and then go out and explore such wonderful and historic places. The hotels are a mixture of old and new, always in good locations. Breakfasts were full of different fruits, pastries, breads (loads of it to set us up for the day) I couldn't resist Italian ice cream and made sure I tried it every evening to check that it was still as delicious as the last place.
