A great way to see Sardinia. The cycling was a great mix of easy flat, challenging climbs and some amazing downhills. A great group contributed to some great laughs.

Cycle Kerala & Tropical India

Wonderful, vibrant Kerala

5
A trip full of vibrant colours, wonderful food, fascinating culture, crazy drivers, warm and welcoming locals and great countryside. We booked this holiday because we wanted a journey with maximum cycling and minimal vehicle transfers en route. This trip is exactly that, touring through three provinces with a well balanced programme of activities and a well chosen route that took in places of significance and interest, with the majority of cycling on scenic routes. Where busy roads were involved we just marvelled at the Indians' driving styles! Travel on a bike in India is the perfect way to soak up the sights, sounds and smells, seeing how people go about their daily lives in the towns, countryside and places of worship. Throughout our trip we were constantly surprised by the warm welcome we received from local people.

Nile Cruise

Amazing Cairo and Nile Cruise

5
Egypt and the Egyptians are incredible survivors - now is the time to go to miss the crowds and be amazed at the sheer brilliance of the architects of Ancient Egypt, the enthusiasm and knowledge of the local Egyptologists, and the resilience of a country that has survived foreigners fighting each other across its land and one political/economic crisis after another.

Andes to Amazon

Andes to Amazon

This was a tremendously varied trip in so many ways - we went from high altitudes in the Andes to sea level, we wore many layers of clothing in the Andes to as little as possible at sea level, we covered up because of mosquitoes in the humidity of the jungle. The people were always friendly - we really enjoyed helping farm in the indigenous community of San Clemente where we learned. among other things, how to yoke oxen and plough fields and were then served an enormous home grown lunch (we had to lie flat out on the lawn to digest!). We saw waterfalls, volcanos, alpacas, vicunas, watched an amazing game of 'national ball' in a town square, stayed at beautiful haciendas and interesting Ecuadorian hotels.

Walking on the Greek Islands

Great early season break

4
We really enjoyed this break. A great time of year to have some sun and a good break. Our guide Cecile was fantastic, she had a real rapport with all the locals which meant that we had super meals out and great experiences on the ferries and buses. The hotels were quite basic and all apart from the one in Naxos were very good, we have put in a strong word to find a new hotel in Naxos. We added on a stay in Athens and that was such a good idea as it meant we didn't have quite such a long journey home with a long ferry, airport and flight back to back and we were able to see the wonderful sights of Athens.

Land of the Tiger

Land of the Tiger

5
Our trip took place between the 4th and 18th of April 2015 and along with my wife and I were another married couple and four other independent women travelers, two being close friends. For some of us this was our first trip to India while others had been before and three were seasoned Exodus travelers. We got on well as a group and had a fabulous trip! The weather was typically hot varying between 28 and 40 degrees centigrade in the middle part of the day but could be cool at 5:30 in the morning when you are waiting to enter a park. It also rained, heavily sometimes in Bandhavgarh. We saw tigers in both Pench and Bandhavgarh National Parks but sadly NOT in Kanha and even had a brief 5 second glimpse of a leopard before he or she ran off into the undergrowth. We had plenty of other wildlife and bird life sightings although not the same diversity that you would get in Africa but then India is like that.
