Wildlife & Wilderness of Botswana

Wildlife & Wilderness of Botswana

This is an excellent holiday for people who want to get really close to the wildlife of Botswana. Seven of the 13 nights are spent wild camping right in the heart of national parks and wilderness areas. You will not only see, but hear and smell the life around you. It is a very immersive experience.

The cycling was challenging due to heat, roads under construction, hills, dogs, traffic but rewarding. Beautiful diverse scenery and friendly people.

A very enjoyable trip to 3 countries. i think the day in Bosnia Herzogovina (lunch, train ride, bridge over the River Drina and film director's villages) was not necessary and the time could have been better spent elsewhere. the rest of the trip was very good and varied.

We have just come back from our second holiday with Exodus (the last one being Camels and Casbahs in Morocco last year) and we have been just as pleased this time. The holiday was great fun with just the right balance of activity and downtime. The Alentejo region is absolutely stunning - rugged coastline with crashing surf, beautiful beaches and the national park was colourful and interesting. The town, Vila Nova de Milfontes, was attractive and relaxed. I didn't spot one other British person or other tourists while I was there. The restaurants were plentiful with good local food, often fish that had been caught that day. One particular restaurant was right down on the beach with fabulous views out over the sea. The Portuguese were friendly.

This was a wonderful holiday for getting in touch with nature. I became glued to my binoculars trying to spot birds, animals and insects. All of the lodge/hotel stops showed a different element of the country and it was nice to sit and listen to the life around us. It is a lot of travelling and moving around the country but it allowed some people to catch up with their sleep and others to watch the scenery move past.

A wonderful adventure and exploration of Mongolia, rather than a cycle trip. Leader was flexible when the weather was wet, and we needed to find accommodation. Staff very helpful
