PICOS PEAKS & GORGES

A wonderful, wonderful holiday. The scenery is stunning and the walks allowed us to explore a variety of locations within the national park. The hotel is in a great location for access to the peaks.

WALKING ON THE GREEK ISLANDS

Would have scored higher but for a few issues that were probably specific to this particular trip (eg: a ferry strike, very small group and unseasonably bad weather). If you're looking for easy walking, great food, scenery and culture with a passionate leader, this tour is for you.

WHALES AND LEOPARDS OF SRI LANKA

I had a wonderful trip with nice people, great weather, great accomodation, incredible scenery and stunning wildlife. Having been on Safari in Africa a few times I was taken aback by just beautiful Yala National Park is. Definitely one of the most scenic places I have been to on the planet along with Norway's Lofoten Islands and and I have done a significant amount of travelling. There where literally hundreds of whales over 3 days - including a pod of 50 Sperm whales surrounding 4 or 5 blue whales. It would have been a 5 star holiday review but the leopards were so elusive - we saw them everyday, but generally hiding under rocks or on orcky out croppings in the distance. I still have not hada proper leopard sitting despite numerous safaris on two continents. For bird nerds this trip is amazing too - we saw eagles munching fish they had just caught, critically endangered Stork's, owls, bea eaters, the lot...and the beeches were amazing - as were the locals. All in all I'd reccomend it. Just watch out for those early starts :0)

UZBEKISTAN UNCOVERED

The trip ensured we saw all the main sights with a knowledgeable guide and also had plenty of time to take photos.  I felt comfortable and safe throughout the trip and our guide was very helpful.

LAND OF THE TIGER

Awesome.  Saw loads of animals, 8 tigers, 2 close up.  Taj Mahal was awesome and so was Dehli, not what I expected.  Brilliant tour guide who knew his stuff and was excellent at spotting the animals.

A WEEK IN JORDAN

A brilliant but hectic week travelling around a truly fascinating country. Although principally a "sightseeing" tour, you'll need to have your walking legs on for Petra and your camping head on for the Wadi Rum! I had an awesome time and made some lovely new friends but you never know what kind of group you're going to get so it definitely pays to have a laid back approach to life! The weather was starting to get very hot when we were there in April so I wouldn't recommend visiting Jordan (or anywhere in the Middle East) much later on in the year as the weather would be unbearable.
