CAPE TOWN TO VICTORIA FALLS

This is a great trip if you want to see the highlights of Southern Africa.  Be prepared for long days of driving, which at the end of each day, the lodge is always a welcome site usually in a remote wilderness.  Overall a fantastic trip, 3 weeks seems a long time initially but when your having fun, time always flies.

THAI INDOCHINA GRAND TOUR

This is a very varied trip with a bit of everything; amazing temples, a close look at local life, harrowing reminders of recent history and some stunning scenery. There are a few fairly long travel days, by bus, 'plane, boat and train but nothing too arduous.

There don't seem to be the words in the English language to describe the spectacular beauty and awe inspiring splendour of this trip. Spirits may sometimes have soared during the day but invariably came crashing back to Earth once we reached our accomodation and tasted our food.  I was last in Nepal 10 years ago and was impressed at how well they understood the tourist - provide basic but clean accomodation and cheap but filling food; I'm afraid standards have crumbled since then and the overwhelming perception was one of complacency and milking the traveller.

DUBROVNIK & THE DALMATIAN COAST

Really great trip, a nice mix of organised activities and free time, good bunch of people, lovely food and plentiful beer! Four unesco heritage sites and two passport stamps in a week - pretty good going!

No matter what I was told about friendly Persians, it didn't come close to the warmth and generosity that we were greeted with, everywhere we went. People wanted to take photos with us, stop for a chat and just wanted to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves in their country. The trip lived up to every expectation and more.

It was an outstanding trip from start to finish, culminating in lavish isolation to affluent foods and majestic walking with camel drivers and guide through high and low sand dunes and meeting new people within our own group on the trip together with the culture of Tunisia/Sahara.  Enjoyed so much sleeping out on my own mattress under the stars, outdoors with the hobbled camels and nature....
