WALKING IN TUSCANY

5
This part of Tuscany was a complete surprise and a total delight. Not only did we have the typical walking through rolling pastureland covered with wildflowers, we also had many walks through shady forests decorated with sun streaming through the new green leaves and over a floor of last years copper leaves before we emerged onto high ridges to enjoy stunning views over still snow clad peaks. A total delight.

SINAI TREK

4
A great trip and small group (7). Basil our guide was incredibly attentive and met our needs. We were not shy to ask, which was a good thing. The only uncomfortable part was some very long 4wheel driving that had to be done. The jeep was a bit cramped as we 7 + guide + 2 Bedouins. Basil improved it by securing another truck. But for anyone contemplating this, be prepared for hot and dusty when you are not trekking!

ATLAS ADVENTURER - FAMILY HOLIDAY

4
The trek through the Atlas mountains exceeded our expectations, with breathtaking landscapes, meadows of wild flowers, exotic birdlife, including brightly coloured bee catchers, and tens of falcons nesting above a village we stayed in. Marrakech was a bit ordinary in comparison, with hoards of tourists, and being 'played' by the local tour guide and merchants we were introduced to.

A WEEK IN JORDAN

This was a unforgettable holiday. I realy enjoyed visiting Jordan as I had never visited the Middle East before. Enjoyed the historical sites plus floating in the Dead Sea and sleeping out under the stars in Wadi Rum.

HIGHLIGHTS OF BOTSWANA

A little early in the dry season to rate a 'classic' trip for me personally, June/ July / August should be much better, but still saw Lions, Wild Dogs,Buffalo,  Crocs, Hippos, hundreds of Ellies, Giraffe and Wild Dogs...  a great tour Leader with a good sense of humour (allways helps) and driver who managed to spot anything that moved whilst still keeping an eye on the tracks....   overall a great trip, and did I say we saw Wild Dogs?....

Very good guide who really looked after you. Very hectic schedule would have been better if we could have stayed in Cusco a extra day and Lima as well.

The trek was great and the Atlas Mountains are as beautiful as you imagine, particularly whilst covered in snow. The itinerary was manageable even without much special training, although it merits the 'difficult' ranking.

Nile Cruise - Premium

NILE CRUISE

5
The holiday was a fabulous mix of visiting the main sites of ancient Egyptian history - pyramids, Valley of the Kings etc and a relaxing few days cruising down the Nile on a luxurious boat.  You could see how people lived on the banks of the Nile, tending their animals, fishing and living in primitive but peaceful conditions.  This contrasted with the hustle of city life in Cairo and Aswan and it was fascinating to hear from our guide not just about the history of Egypt but also about the recent,  ongoing revolution and about the reality of life in Egypt today.
