Walking The Amalfi Coast

A lovely place

4
The area, walks, weather and ambiance were great. I felt the hotel food and wine was below par - overcooked vegetables (grown by the family), not hot enough and a tired, dated menu. Not Italian food as you know it; although some of the dishes were great (eg the fish), most of it was a bit institutional.

Walking the Amalfi Coast

Just returned from a lovely trip to the Amalfi coast. It was beautiful scenery, lovely weather, a great group of people, brilliant walks, great food... the list could go on.. The hotel is very accommodating, the food is plentiful and of high standard. The pizza is gorgeous.

Stepping up (and down) in Italy

5
If you like steps this is the one for you! A very enjoyable and relaxing trip to a place of stunning scenery and hugely welcoming people. The walks were varied and certainly showed off this part of Italy to full advantage with Tre Calli and the 'walk of the gods' giving particularly spectacular views. The village of Bomerano is on the plateau high above the sea, several walks end up at sea level and the only way down is via steps - thousands of them! Our group was a very mixed bunch, 6 nationalities and widely varying walking ability but they meshed together really well and their company added to the overall experience. The hotel was fine but don't be fooled by the photo of the pool! The cookery demonstrations by the hotel chefs were great fun. Meeting some of the local people - the owner of the 'Crazy Burger Bar' in Bomerano (it doesn't serve burgers but he will produce what ever you want) and his infectious and enthusiastic hospitality was something very different.

Walking The Amalfi Coast

Wonderful way to discover the Amalfi Coast

5
It's a full week of walking/hiking trails along the Amalfi Coast, with stops along the way to take in the views or sometimes, to have a drink at a local coffee shop! It's a great way to experience the Amalfi coast as you walk right into towns you then get to discover for a couple of hours before being chauffeur-driven back to the hotel in a comfortable bus. You stay at the same lovely hotel for the week, which is nice and convenient, and located in pleasant & calm village away from the hustle bustle of the more touristy areas. The hotel also takes very good care of its clientele and make the week fun with different demonstrations at supper time.

Fantastic Walking in Stunning Scenery

5
Truly one of my most memorable walking holidays ever and rightly popular with some many people. The Italian scenery is spectacular and the walks up (to Mont Tre Calli), down (to Amalfi) and along (The Walk of the Gods to Positano) are great. Guide Suzy and our wonderful group made the whole trip very special. There are lots of surprises and really nice touches (I'm not going to give away her secrets) which keep the interest and fun going the whole week.
