Cycle past glaciers and snow-capped peaks in Alaska, the USA's largest state
Alaska is the ultimate wilderness destination. Thousands of miles of quiet roads offer the only interruption to a vast land of glaciers, rushing rivers, dense forest and towering peaks: ideal for the adventurous cyclist and an utterly unique biking experience. The wildlife is the epitome of North America; Grizzly bears, Bald eagles, moose and elk may be spotted from the saddle. We cycle close to North America's highest peak, the breathtaking Mt McKinley (6198m) and up to the huge, creaking Matanuska Glacier. This is nature on a grand scale and to cycle through it is a rare privilege.
