An excellent cycling trip with beautiful/amazing scenery, picturesque villages, friendly locals & some good cycling especially upwards !!!
The town of Bled is gorgeous & beautiful to see & stay in overnight. The best part of the trip was probably the cycling on Day 4 from Kranjska Gora to Kobarid where we cycled over 70 km which included a 14 km 800m climb with amazing views especially over the Vrsic Pass which has an elevated height of 1,611 m.
Our group leader was Nejc who is a brilliant guy. He has excellent fitness levels, was very considerate of everyone in the group, has a very good sense of humour, is friendly & is easy to be around.
If you've never been to Slovenia you should definitely consider going. Its a beautiful country with amazing views. This particular trip is for moderate/challenging level so make sure you're fitness level is fairly good upon arrival as there's some great days with good climbing on the bikes.
On Day 3 if you're staying in Kranjska Gora the hotel is about 1km outside of the small town but its definitely worth going into the town for food as wherever we went was delicious. We were starving when we arrived early afternoon so waled into the town & then went again to the same restaurant later that evening instead of eating in the hotel.
The first & second day on the bikes were a bit too easy with we mentioned to the leader. While it was a great holiday & we did do a decent amount of exercise, the cycling should be a bit more challenging or last a bit longer into the afternoon as other exodus moderate/challenging cycling holidays i've been on were a bit more difficult cycling wise! Nejc said he'd take our views on board so i'm sure the next group going will have the most perfect cycling holiday for moderate/challenging level.
