'We believe that every young person should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances.'
Our Vision, Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto
You don’t need us to tell you how to teach but perhaps we can highlight the areas where an Exodus School Adventure can enhance your curriculum…
Confident individuals - Responsible citizens - Cross-curriculum dimensions - Personal development - Skills
Our trips are designed to complement your school’s overall ‘big picture’ for the new secondary curriculum. We aim to create successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve; this gives confidence to students enabling them to lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. Overall we try to create responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society.
Every Child Matters
Be healthy - Stay safe - Enjoy and achieve - Make a positive contribution - Lifelong learning - Skills for life
Adventure travel gives young people new opportunities away from home and opens their eyes to the wider world around them, helping to educate in areas of their life which complement the aim of the Every Child Matters agenda. Whether that’s looking after their own health and hygiene whilst overseas, learning about how to stay safe in unfamiliar surroundings, making a positive contribution by travelling responsibly or simply just learning to develop new skills and achieve whilst having fun.
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
Independent inquirers - Team workers - Effective participants - Self managers - Reflective learners - Creative thinkers
The focus for learning in the new secondary curriculum highlights the need to give students a broad range of opportunities in which to explore learning styles, their attitudes and attributes, the skills they have and their knowledge and understanding of the world. Our trips will provide almost limitless opportunities to show determination, adaptability and confidence as well as understand risk-taking.
The range of new learning possibilities is endless.
