I travelled the first time as a female solo traveller (at 49yrs!) and felt well supported and informed from the point of enquiry to completion of my holiday.

A good holiday overall. The cycling was harder and faster than we were led to believe in the brochure which spoilt the first few days. Couldn't stop for photos as got left behind. In fact it was difficult to sightsee and cycle sometimes.

Discover Burma

Discover Burma

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Burma. The tour was extremely varied and well planned, and offered us a wonderful insight into this beautiful under-developed country. Given that the tourist industry is still early in its development, the standard of accommodation was better than we expected.

Pyrenees Winter Walk & Snowshoe

Pyrenees Winter Walk & Snowshoe

I've been hiking in the Pyrenees during the summer months and was keen to experience the mountains in the winter months. It was very easy to pick up snow shoeing (took less than 5 minutes) and was a great way to access the mountains in the snow. I would describe the walking/snow shoeing we did as 'gentle to moderate' rather than 'moderate to challenging' as written in the trip notes. We were often finished by early-mid afternoon and then ended up in a café for a coffee or beer each day. Personally I'd have preferred to walk for another couple of hours each day and spent less time in the cafes in Luchon.

Walking in the Alpujarra

An amazing week of walks and Alpujarran culture.  As a non hill walker I was a little nervous about my ability to complete the many ascents involved in the guided walks but the pace was set by the group with plenty of capacity for those of us who live far from the hills! The scenery was continuously breathtaking with a new landscape around every corner.  The Hotel Los Berchules is by far the most friendly and hospitable I have stayed in with a real feeling of being at home.  The best packed lunches I have ever been given and the evening meal was always tasty and nutritious.

Vietnam - Mot Hi Bai Yo!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cycling trip to Vietnam. The cycling itself was hard and a little too fast at times. The bus came in handy on a couple of occasions! The hotels were better than expected. The food was sensational (I just bought a Vietnamese cookbook!). The trip combined a huge amount into two weeks - beaches, cities, mountains, countryside, urban chaos....!

Needs some Work

Although generally the holiday was enjoyable, it was slightly spoilt by the lack of information provided to use during the tour by the guide. Everything was last minute. We could have left venues earlier in the morning to allow more time to spend in the next location when we were only spending one night there. I am sure most people do not mind an 8.00 or 8.30 start to be able to get to a location whilst still in daylight for a little bit of a look around. We were travelling with a number of single travellers which wasn't a problem however, in Trinidad it did state that none of them would be on their own in the Casa. One lady was placed in a Casa on her own which we felt was an unnecessary risk and this should be addressed.
