Trins & the Three Valleys

A very civilised ski holiday with beautiful scenery, a good variety of skiing and excellent food at lunchtimes. Also a friendly and sociable bunch of fellow travellers. No worries if you are a solo traveller.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

An excellent holiday, well-organised from day 1 and benefitting from being linked with the winter walking holiday to same place. Beautiful scenery and plenty of ski variety.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

In spite of warm temperatures, and lack of good fresh snow, this was an outstanding holiday. The holiday was a success because 1. We were able to use local trasport to ski in different areas.2. It was well led by Bob3. The other holiday makers were friendly and adaptable, and great fun to be with. 4. The food and service at the Wienerhof Hotel were excellent.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

Breathtaking beautiful scenery when the sun shines on the snow covered Tyrolean landscape. Wonderful refreshing and revitalising holiday that requires some level of fitness at the beginning. Cross country skiing is all about a journey at a relatively slow pace through a beautiful landscape. The slow climbs are rewarded by the fun downhill runs.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

Good trip for absolute beginners but didn't have enough variation of skiing routes or long enough trips to practice our skills or fully appreciate what cross country skiing is really about.  However, it is a beautiful area and the food is wonderful.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

The group size was, arguably, optimal at 10. Snow conditions were excellent. Bob is an excellent leader/ guide whether out skiing or socially, eg our pleasant evening dinners in the hotel. A happy week!

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

This was our first cross country skiing trip to Austria, having been twice previously with Exodus to Rondablikk in Norway. We could not fault Bob's organisation of quite a large group (it was New Year ), the accomodation and food was very good. Bob's knowledge of the area was excellent. The skiing was fun however, whilst we had a great holiday, we felt that Exodus did not accurately pitch the holiday skiing level of 2+. We are well aware that a group holiday means you will get people of varying degress of ability. However, there are simply not enough tracks or challenging enough terrain for a 2+ level. We are by no means seasoned cross country skiers but feel that the trip should be graded at the most at level 2.
