News

Our Kenya holidays are not affected by the recent incidents in Nairobi.

We are aware of the recent explosion in the Gikomba area of Nairobi, and the current Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice for Kenya which highlights a risk to travellers in Indian Ocean coastal regions, parts of Nairobi, around Mombasa and near the Somali border.

None of our trips visit these areas, or any other areas where the FCO advises against travel. Therefore, all of our Kenya itineraries will be going ahead as planned.

We will continue to monitor the FCO advice and liaise with our local partners and local authorities to ensure our customers remain safe at all times.

Meanwhile, our thoughts are with those affected by this terrible atrocity.

Learn how to prepare the signature dishes of Spain while enjoying A Week in Andalucia!

Due to health and safety reasons the cookery demonstration has to take place outdoor. It will be offered on all departures (weather permitting).

The Cortijo Rosario catering team will demonstrate how a true paella is made with the tricks you don't normally get from recipe books.
Paella varies in its ingredients in different regions of Spain - this is the andaluz version using long grain rice - and Maria (our queen of the kitchen) will share her secrets!

She will also prepare Gazpacho, a typical cold summer soup that originates from Andalucía.
And what could be the only thing to drink with these two dishes? Sangria, of course! Rocio will demonstrate the Cortijo version (there are many!) showing you how it is made.

Once all is finished you will sit on the terrace to eat and appreciate why these dishes are so popular.

After much deliberation, the results of our coveted Tour Leader Awards are now in...

2012 Leader Awards

2011 Leader Awards

2010 Leader Awards

2009 Leader Awards

With the fear of sounding like a broken record, we’ve never found the judging harder than this time around! Every year the decision gets more difficult and the judges fought the corner of each shortlisted leader for the title of Exodus Leader of the Year 2013!

With a Judging panel made up of Senior Exodus staff who can proudly say ‘been there, done that’… scrutiny was at its highest and finding flaws in faultless leaders was a task that nobody would envy.

On this note we’d like to congratulate Samer Hadric and announce him as The Exodus Leader Awards 2013 Overall Winner.

Overall Winner - Samer Hajric based in Bosnia

Samer has been voted this year’s Overall Winner because of his fantastic attributes as a leader, not only does he show you a country in which is very passionate about, but he is continually trying to improve the trip. He is the kind of guy who will always want to make the next trip bigger and better than before. Samer is one of only a handful of people who have made the mountains, guiding & leading into a full time profession, and we think that this can only come about if you are good at what you do! He has been leading in the mountains since 2001 and we can only hope that we see more of him in the future. On a final note, we would like to recognise his commitment to running trips throughout a region that is sometimes still divided.

Along with his Exodus Leader Award Certificate, Samer will also receive £1000 which will be split equally between himself and the charity of his choice.

Client Comments

"Quite simply put the nicest guy in the world with a gentle soul. Was kind and considerate to everyone on the group, spent time with each person and having grown up in war torn Sarajevo has a beautiful philosophy in life that you can see translates into the person he is."
