Do check for e-mails from Exodus. I got to Israel four days before the arrival of the main group and then found out that the start hotel had been changed. Exodus had sent me an e-mail but I was too engrossed with Tel Aviv to waste time on the internet!
As is normal all over the world, taxi drivers are crooks! It is cheaper to use the excellent public transport system especially when getting out of Ben Gurion airport or travelling on your own between Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv, as I did.
There are no restrictions for tourists in travelling to the Palastinian areas. I suppose that certain nationalities maybe restricted but no problems with a British passport. The Foreign Office warnings, as usual, are over the top and designed to protect themselves against litigation, for instance if you stop a Syrian missile! You are more likely to get knocked down by a bus in London!
Exodus groups being small, it is easy to make friends.
