Hi Martin

have you been to Africa before?  This will be my first time to Africa im really looking forward to it.

I see you have travelled with exodus before, so that must be a good sign if you're travelling with them again.

I'm hoping to get a helicopter flight through Victoria Falls and was advised that I would be better booking when we are there. I was also hoping to fit in a hot air balloon ride at some point but i don't think Iwill be able to fit it in when I have looked at the itinerary.  Are you planning to do either of those? It looks like there is some free time in Livingstone; and also a day in the middle of the trip.  I need to check my itinerary again though, I booked a while ago and decided not to look at it until a little bit closer to the time.

Have been to S Africa and did Cape Town in 2002 and it was amazing.  Hoping the tour will do some places I didn't visit then which would be great.  Its Namibia and Vic Falls I am longing to visit.

Did Burma with Exodus in Feb/Mar with 18 fantastic people 6 singlie's and 6 couples and we all got on which was amazing and made the trip an amazing experience.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi everyone

It's good to hear from people who have used Exodus before and have been to Africa too. as I haven't done either before; and I'm travelling on my own too.

I'm getting excited about it now as it's getting closer; and I'm boring all my colleagues talking about it too.

I'm not looking forward to the vaccinations so much, but better safe than sorry!

Don't worry about the vaccinations - its much better to be safe than sorry as you say and to enjoy the trip.

Have you done many trips on your own?    Why did you decide o this one then?

Am getting excited too as Vic Falls has been on my bucket list since I was a child.

I haven't done very many trips on my own before, well nothing on this scale anyway.  I've wanted to go to Africa since I was a child but haven't had the funds or opportunity until now so this is my trip of a lifetime.

I can't wait to see all the wild animals in their natural environment and to end the trip at Victoria falls will just top it off for me.  I'm hoping to do a helicopter ride through the falls if I can, when we have time in Livingstone.

hi everyone

I was just wondering what advice you have been given in relation to the yellow fever vaccination?  I'm a bit confused by it.

The travel clinic won't vaccinate unless it is compulsory; after going through the itinerary with me they have told me that i don't need it and they will provide an exemption certificate  I have e-mailed exodus to check and they have advised that technically it is not required but they advise people to have it for boarding the plane from Livingstone.

Is anybody else having the same problem?

Just received e-mail from Radek re facilities on trip.  Hairdryers and irons are very few and far between!!  Are you up for bringing one of these and l bring the other!!!!

Hope you have sorted your Yellow Fever issue.

Speak soon

Hi Val

I'm up for that.  I'll bring a hairdryer, I've got a travel iron but I'm moving house at the moment and it's in a box somewhere, so that will save me routing for it.

I've got an exemption certificate for yellow fever, as they wouldn't let me have the vaccine.  It says that I've been advised not to have it on medical grounds so hopefully they'll let me on the plane in Livingstone.

Not long to go now....
Thinking about some long driving days, anyone taking a few books, and maybe willing to do a swap once we've finished what we brought with us?
