This is first time with exodus.  Not too sure about luggage.  What do I take.  I have been to Kenya and India on safari but stayed in lodges and during day only had to take what I needed for drives.

Are you on Saturday flight.

Saturday morning flight from Heathrow . . nice and early! I've just seen that the baggage allowance for the internal flights is 15kg so will have to be sensible or be prepared to part with my cash!

Take lots of cotton items and nothing too heavy for the humid areas. I find that long sleeves and trousers are always better for the rainforest too as it keeps the creepy crawlies off you. Don't forget your insect repellant and anti malarial drugs!

 Where are you travelling from?

That's going to be a long ol' day for you. Oh yes, I like a challenge so Kinibalu is definitely on the list . . although I doubt i'll be saying that at 2am when we have to start the ascent! How about you? I can't believe it's come around so soon either . . .

Yes I do love a challenge and I am hoping to climb that mountain and.... reach the summit.  Starting to make a list so hopefully dont forget anything.  I was wondering about the walking poles which I have read about in the reviews.  I was wondering if we will be able to hire them there rather than buying them here and carrying around in your luggage. I probably wouldnt use them again...

I know . . i had that thought although they're not that heavy . . maybe try ebay for some cheapies . . and then flog them when you get back . . or leave them for the locals . .

Hi, I'm Tom. Really looking forward to meeting you all and having a great trip. This is my second attempt. I was meant to be going at Christmas but then the snows came, Heathrow closed for four days and the trip was cancelled! Second time lucky I hope!

Hi Steve and Tom,

Fingers crossed that you're not jinxed Tom and that there aren't any ash clouds/snow/leaves on the line come 12th March!

I'm not particularly well prepared at present as I tend to operate better in a panic . . now where did I put that passport ;o)
