I have re-booked on the above trip departing Jul 10 after ash foiled my departure in Apr!!!arghh- Just wondered how cold it gets at that time of year?  Fleece required? - what season sleeping bag is required? - do I need a mossie net? - any rain wear required? Cheers Steven

I did a Botswana trip last year, but a couple of weeks later. At this time of year it get's very cold when the sun goes down. Fleeces and a jacket are essential , I would even go as far as recommending a duvet jacket if you have one and a 3 season bag as a minimum.

On one of the early moring transfers all of the group were in their sleeping bags in the land cruiser as it was that cold.

We didn't have any rain but didn't see any mossies either ... too cold for them

Enjoy the trip, it really is a fantastic place
