Does anyone have any suggestions for essential kit to take on this trek in April or things to you wouldn't boher with that you were told to take.

I'm trying to get my head around what exactly we'll need especially for the variation in temperatures.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

take one set of warm clothes as it is really cold at the top.  You can buy anything you need along the way as you go past many tea houses that sell lots of things.  Great trip so enjoy

and dont overload yourself, as those porters work their butts off.  Enjoy your trip, and PS you stay in some nice hotels along the way. Steve

In terms of clothes  for the evening take some a warm jumper or a sleeveless downs jacket, warm tracksuit to sit in the huts - sometimes they don't put the heaters on.

Trousers that zip into sections, at the lower levels it will be warm, maybe enough for shorts but Basecamp you will want thicker long trousers.

Other items walking poles, torch and for women a supply of toilet rolls. (although they can be bought on the way - it is not the same as Andrex!!)

Also some snack chocolate, nuts - as it can get expensive but also good to give to the porters who have to carry your bags.

Enjoy

just got back from trekking in the Anapurna region, great trip. the advice above is spot on. one top tip take some disposable ear plugs, the walls in the tea houses can be a bit thin and if yuo have snorer in the group ear plugs can be invaluable for a good nights kip. enjoy yuor trip
