Yes I am! It's a long way off but it should be an amazing trip. Looking forward to meeting you.

They said there was one other female booked on when I booked up.

Yes, December is an awful way off, but it will be here before we know it.  Really looking forward to it, and be good to meet you.

Hi Lucy and Catherine.  Glad to know there are at least two other single women on the trip.  New people, new places, new experiences - it doesn't get much better than that.  See you in a couple weeks.

Good to hear from you, and likewise, pleased to hear that there are other female solo travellers!

I'm starting to get myself organised now, I've got my visa (easier than I expected) and my malaria tablets.  Got my shiny crisp new dollars last week.  Have you given any thought to how much to take.  I didn't want to be left with money but equally didn't want to be caught short either given that we can't rely on the ATM or credit cards.  I've got $700 at the mo.  I've already booked on to the balloon flight so hope that weather will allow that to go ahead.

I guestimated $100 for tips; meals not included $25 X 14 = $350 (may sound high but beer may not be cheap); and optional excursions $100.  I am not much of a shopper but I would be bummed if I saw something I couldn't live without and didn't have the money for it so am rounding it all out and bringning $1,000.  I am going to Vietnam for two weeks from Burma so what I don't spend in Burma can be used there.  I arrive in Rangon one day earlier than the group.  Anyone else coming in early?

That's got me pondering if I have enough!  I am in town at the weekend, so might get a bit extra - I'm probably going to India in March so if I end up with excess it can be used then, so think I might play safe and get a wee bit extra.  Lucky you doing Vietnam too - is that also with Exodus?  Certainly somewhere on my to do list.  I'm on the group flight, so not getting in any earlier - kind of wish I had planned that so that I could have a bit of jet lag catch up before we set off, but never mind - sure all will be good.

I'm coming a few days early from the US.  My Korean Air flight time changed after I booked the ticket, so I have less than one hour in Incheon to change planes.  That's a tight connection for that aiport.  I'm glad I'll be arriving early in case my luggage arrives a day late.  I am staying at the Trader's hotel for the first two days, then I'll transfer to the group hotel.

This http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2336067 thread on Lonely Planet seems to indicate ATMs are much more common.  Another thread states that credit cards are becoming more accepted.  Apparently you have to keep your US dollars crisp, clean, and unfolded or they charge a huge transaction fee.  I find this whole currency issue the only downside of the trip!  I ran out of money in Madagascar, and it really impacted my level of enjoyment of my trip (I was conserving money for days prior to running out, then I had to go to a bank and get a cash advance on my Mastercard).

I'm planning on bringing $800 which includes the two days by myself.  Hopefully I can use the ATM if I need more & posibly for the group leader trip.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.  I've traveled with Exodus before and the guides are always first rate.

I meant group leader TIP, not trip

Looking foward to meeting everyone.  I live in the North East of England so really hoping that the predicted horrendous weather doesn't cause any travel delays!

Just need to get myself motivated to pack now - this is the bit I hate - what to take, am I taking enough or too much!!  Just want to be there and start enjoying it!

 See you all soon!

It is -12 C here in Utah.  I can't wait to get to the warmer temperatures.  See you Sunday!
