DISCOVER THAILAND, LAOS & CAMBODIA

Excellent value busy trip.  If you are used to "activity" holidays you might find it too relaxing.  If you are used to luxury holidays still give it a try as 3 star hotels in Thailand/Cambodia & Laos are in keeping with the countries and with the exception of just one night in a poor guest house (Phetsokxai at Pak Bang) all the accommodation had good showers, firm beds and functioning air conditioning. We were taken to a wide variety of restaurants all of which were able to provide authentic food for those who like to try local dishes and european dishes for those who do not.The two long coach trips pass quickly as there are stops every couple of hours plenty to see and the two days on the Mekong are on a private slow boat so you and your companions have plenty of space to stretch.

ANTARCTIC CIRCLE QUEST

The scenery was as breath- taking as I expected - if not more so: the animal life fantastic.  What made the journey was the informative guides, the high quality food and the friendliness of all concerned.  A fabulous trip that involved crossing the Antarctic Circle and visiting several historic sites and preserved huts of past years.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NORTHERN INDIA

Northern India is a beautiful area with lots to see.  The trip focuses on the main historic monuments of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and the contrast of the two days in Ranthambore National Park in the middle of the trip breaks up the history niceley with a great opportunity to see the widlife of India. This trip is great for people who have done little independent travel or are nervous about travelling by themselves, as you are looked after well in the group and everything is organised for you.  However, I wouldn't refer to this as an adventure holiday and if you are a more confident traveller who wants to have time to wander through villages and interact with local people then this may not be the trip for you. A lot of time is spent on the coach.

LAPLAND ADVENTURE & THE ICEHOTEL

This was without a doubt one of the best holidays I have ever had.  It gave a great taster for some winter based activities that I had been reluctant to book for a whole week.  Dog sledding, even if, like me, you're not very good at it, is incredible.  I was not a great lover of dogs before I went but the Huskies are so friendly and their enthusiasm for sledding is infectious, I plan to do a whole week of this in the future.  Igloo building is also great fun.  I loved the snow shoeing and snow mobiling (an optional extra).  We saw the Northern Lights but frankly everything else was so great I would not have been devastated had we not seen them.  The Ice Hotel was a novel experience and an unusual way to end a holiday.  The accommodation was great, the wilderness camp is actually not that wild and is quite comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing, you will not lose weight on this holiday!!!

DISCOVER THAILAND, LAOS & CAMBODIA

The trip is really about Laos and Cambodia, with Thailand being more of a staging-post.  Laos is scenic, rural and sparsely populated, while Cambodia is busier and historically more interesting.  The pace of the trip is generally leisurely, especially in Laos.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NORTHERN INDIA

A whirlwind of sights, sounds and local colour. The towns and villages of India are chaotic, pulsating and mesmerising, the people loud, vibrant, flamboyant yet charming. We met warmth and good humour wherever we went. I've never felt so challenged yet engaged with a country and its people.

PETRA & WADI RUM TREK

Jordan's desert is more beautiful than I could ever imagined. A highlight was visiting Petra on Good Friday and being escorted on our own away from the crowds around this amzing site for almost 3 hours!

DISCOVER COLOMBIA

Interesting trip that offers an insight into the geographic and cultural diversity of Colombia. Large distances mean internal flights and time spent at airports but the latter are efficient and its worth it to see the contrasting areas of the country. Colombians are very welcoming - delighted that people are willing to challenge the country's negative image by travelling there.  Only disappointment was being unable to trek in Los Nevados National Park (closed for 8m+) due to the activity of Nevado del Ruiz volcano. Cocora Valley was a pleasant hike but Ruiz would have been special.......a good reason, amongst several, to go back!

A WEEK IN JORDAN

A fantastic trip covering the "must see's" of Jordan. The tour was very well organised with good accommodation and trasport. The Jordanian people were very friendly and welcoming and it felt perfectly safe. I would definintely travel with Exodus again and very much recommend this trip to anyone especially if you are looking to "experience" Petra, rather than just tick it off a list.
