CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

Breathtaking beautiful scenery when the sun shines on the snow covered Tyrolean landscape. Wonderful refreshing and revitalising holiday that requires some level of fitness at the beginning. Cross country skiing is all about a journey at a relatively slow pace through a beautiful landscape. The slow climbs are rewarded by the fun downhill runs.

DISCOVER BURMA

A great introduction to Burma, covering the four main tourist areas over 2 weeks, with a good amount of of free time for you to re-experience things at your own pace, go off exploring on your own or just kick back and chill with the locals!

UNDISCOVERED ATLAS

This was a challenging walk in the most extraordinary terrain.  It was beautiful in the extreme, made even more beautiful by the emptiness and tranquillity of the surroundings.  No tourists other than ourselves, and uplifting contact with the friendly and hospitable locals when we met them.

CHILE: HIKING IN A THIN COUNTRY

An intense trip due to the distances covered and sights seen, sleep lost due to very early starts and some late arrivals. Walks may not start a.m. with recovery late in the afternoon due to moving around the country. Hotels are good, refuges range from good [Orsono Volcano] to poor [base of Torres del Paine], all have electricity and powerpoints. This trip provides more to see than any other of my previous ones, Peru, Ecuador, Nepal and Tibet. The local travel partner provides the best welcome pack I have seen, excellent information on each place and a map of Chile.

CLASSIC VIETNAM & ANGKOR

This was an excellent trip made even better by a particularly congenial group of fellow travellers.  Our guide in Vietnam, Nam, was truly Mr Fix-it, even lending me his watch for the duration of the trip when mine was out of battery.  Vietnam was a fascinating country and the trip should really be sub-titled 'A Gastronomic Tour'.  The food was great throughout
