SPITSBERGEN IN DEPTH

In 2009 I booked on the Arctic trip in search of Polar Bears and surprisingly found myself literally overwhelmed by the scenery.  The sea ice was thick and the Polar Bears were being shy! I returned with no expectations and almost witnessed the Arctic version of the X Factor!

SAHARA DESERT TREK

It was a great trip.  The diverse landscape, sleeping under the stars, and even a brief rain/sand storm that was incredible to watch as it came at us over the horizon.  It was a well planned trip, food was great (semolina soup every night before dinner was so tastly), and there wasn't a lot of down time, except our daily lunch what the sun was its hottest.

A good introduction to Morocco.  Blessed by fantastic weather the trip was a great (short) escape from the doom and gloom of the UK.  Marrakech was busy, vibrant and fun; the slower pace of life in the mountains was a complete contrast.  Not many spending opportunities and no-one seemed to miss the typical UK Christmas excess.  Hot showers at the gite and freshly cooked delicious food.  Even became accustomed to the morning porridge and herb teas.

An excellent walking holiday the tone of which was set on the first afternoon when we all went for 'trial' walk to assess our abilities - a sound idea.  We got to know the group from the very start which set the scene for the rest of the week.

WALKING IN MADEIRA

A lovely holiday with a great group of people. The guide was very enthusiastic, clearly loved his job and made us all laugh! The views were amazing and the daily walking always enjoyable, we were all tired at the end of the day but that didn't stop us having a great meal together in the evening! The accomodation on the last 2 nights was disappointing otherwise it was fantastic- my first exodus holiday....I'm about to book another!
