CYCLING THROUGH RAJASTHAN

A brilliant trip made special by the group leader and of course the group members. The contrast of city versus rural cycling and daily life is imense but equally attractive in their own way. They cycling is not overly arduous and the chai stops are rewarding and refreshing. Visting a range of attractions (temples, forts, national parks) gives a good feel and overview of Rajasthan.

HIGH PASSES OF EVEREST

An unforgettable trip, for all the right reasons.  Travelling through the world's highest mountains, having to dig deep into my mental and physical reserves, all with a great group and leader (Pasang). This is the trek to do.

THE INCA TRAIL - Moonstone Trek

Originally we wanted to do the Classic Inca Trail, however because Exodus run out of lincences for this particular trip we did a variation of this trek: Moonstone Trek, which is much higher that the Inca Trail. This did not put us off and actually was better as we went on very remote, secluded paths that are not part of the massive tourist highway. During the whole trip it was only 6 of us + leader + cooks + sherpas and few local people that we past occasionally. PERFECT for those who want to experience the beauty of mighty Andes, beautiful nature, make new friends and clear mind from daily life! You still get to see all the good places including ending the trek in Machu Picchu! We came back very happy and whatever we spent was definitely worth it all!

HIGH PASSES OF EVEREST

What a fantastic adventure in an unbelievably beautiful part of the world.  The weather was amazing, the scenery was stunning, the group got on so well, the leader was superb, the food was excellent, and the accomodation was way better than expected. I feel very privileged to have been able to experience this place.

CYCLE INDOCHINA & ANGKOR

Great trip, with loads to see and do. As others haven mentioned, it's a little front-loaded with the cycling. The Thailand part is mostly cycling, which is great. It was very hot when we went – over 40c, but the cycling is flat so the distances aren’t too taxing. Of course you don’t have to cycle all of every day and at any given point, there was someone taking the van option on our trip. The stops during the cycling were a little too frequent and a little too long for me, but other opinions are available! The Cambodia section is split between the Angkor temples and  Phnom Penh, with not a lot of cycling anywhere. The temples are exceptional – I would maybe have a liked a little more time at some of them, but you can’t have everything.  Our group opted for the Tonle Sap Lake trip over cycling. In hindsight I would definitely go the for the cycling – the floating village is not nice and the later trip in Vietnam to the floating market is a much better experience. The Phnom Penh section is a chance to relax a little, but I would have liked a little cycling - outside the capital maybe? (Phnom Penh is very busy on the roads!).Vietnam is awesome and the cycling superb. Village life is the highlight and the homestay is also excellent. Many (but not all) people on our trip only took their anti-materials for the few days we were cycling the Mekong, rather than the entire 2 weeks plus. I had some fairly funky dreams in the run up to this part, which I put down to my Malarials!

ETHIOPIA: SIMIEN MOUNTAINS TREK

Incredible trek. Loved being so remote and having such a contrast to life back home. A real eye opener into the Ethiopian lifestyle too. The scenery was truly breath taking - too much to take in and capture on a photo!

MOUNTAINS, TEMPLES & HILL STATIONS

An interesting tour to Northern India which takes in some key sites, but feels off the tourist trail. A great chance to see the himalayas, eat fantastic indian food and explore.
