DELHI TO KATHMANDU

An amazing adventure where everything happened that should plus some off the cuff extras that made us feel very special. A new world and culture wonderfully presented and explained by the real star of the trip; our guide Mahindra.

DELHI TO KATHMANDU

Even though we have travelled widely, usually independently, this was our best trip ever.  Finding that Exodus suited our needs and outlook was a revelation.  Meeting like-minded "Exodus" travellers enhanced our pleasure.  It just kept getting better and better!

This was an exciting trip to the South Atlantic on board the Akademic Sergey Vavilov.   We travelled by air to Mount Pleasant airport in the Falklands and then 850 miles by sea to one of the remotest locations on the Earth. Landings at Salisbury Plain, Fortuna Bay, Gold Harbour and Royal Bay offered amazing scenes of close up wildlife. At Grytviken, Stromness and Leith we were able to observe the historical buildings of the whaling industry and some of the sites associated with Ernest Shackletons epic escape from Antarctica.   Paul Goldstein, with his usual energy and well intentioned banter, ensured a high tempo was maintained throughout the trip, and having Mark Cawardine on board with his anecdotes from a lifetime of presenting natural history on national media was a particular highlight for me. Another bucket list item completed. Bring on the next.

ANNAPURNA SANCTUARY

A fine trek with almost constant mountain views, culminating in the Sanctuary itself . Quite demanding in a few places, but generally straightforward walking within the reach of any reasonably fit person. The teahouses provide more flexible accommodation than would be the case with a camping trip.

CYCLE SOUTHERN INDIA - COAST TO COAST

What a brilliant trip.....a must do. Cycling point to point, along back roads, seeing the most wonderful sights, through small villages, alongside ox carts, through tea and rubber plantations. Kids every where waving and calling hello. The accommodation was fabulous.

COLOURS OF RAJASTHAN

An excellent introduction to the Golden triangle. Beautiful palaces and forts, the Pushkr camel fair was amazing, I was dazzled by the splendour of the colours, the people  and the architecture.

DISCOVER SRI LANKA

We have been on several Exodus trips and all have been great but this was the best by far. Sujan, our trip leader, devoted all hours to making sure everything ran smoothly and added extra special personal touches like singing along with a local group to us at our table and organising and joining in on a mini disco in a magical setting. Definately not a run of the mill Exodus holiday, as as well as all the adventure and excitement it included lots of personal and local touches provided by Sujan. It may sound seedy but it wasn't, even when he sang silly songs to us on our coach. He knitted the group together, socially, and everyone had a wonderful time.
