HIGHLIGHTS OF NORTHERN INDIA

In theory this is a 10 day trip, but travelling out on day1, getting there on day 2 with further travel by bus to Jaipur on day 2 to hotel in time for evening meal (at the hotel as advised that nothing local to go to) gives a false impression of how long we are to experience the country.First Hotel was ok, but we were encouraged to sit inside when in fact there was a courtyard area which was more pleasant, but which obviously wasn't where we expected to sit for our mealsThe holiday met the criteria for  visiting the highlighlights....Taj Mahal, Ganges, ghats, tigers.... but was not balanced in other areas. There was one experince highlighted for the day, then nothing.......... Long hours on a bus travelling between major sites with not a lot in between. The last day in Delhi  felt like an after-thought. We had to pay for a trip into the city....one last chance to experience this wonderful place rather than Exodus recognising what it could offer to comlete an experience of a fantastic country! We have been on previous Exodus trips and thoroughly enjoyed them. This doesn't match up to those.

CYCLE THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO

This was a great trip,  a varied on/off road trip through Galia, stunning Autumn landscapes, good food, culminating in arrival at Santiagao, a real classic old Spanish city. Whilst this is advertised as a road trip, a lot is actually off road through forest tracks which I really enjoyed

KAYAKING ON THE TURQUOISE COAST

A fantastic holiday combining active days of kayaking with the amazing landscapes and food from Turkey. The highlight of this trip was definitly having the gulet boat with us, combined with kayaks allowed us to reach places we wouldn't be able to normally. Been able to travel from places to places and camp was great even if some of the camping conditions are variable. The hotel in Kas has seen better days though.

CLASSIC VIETNAM & ANGKOR

A very interesting & mixed trip. Fascinating country, my eyes were out on stalks most of the time. All life can be seen on the back of a motor bike.

This holiday took place in what can only be described as paradise - the Turkish mediterranean coast with its azure blue sea and rugged coast, lots of good walking, Roman and earlier ruined cities, theatres, an ancient city beneath the sea.  Time for walking, visiting ancient sites, bathing, lying on the beach or simply reading by the pool.  The little resort of Kas is well set up for tourists without being spoiled, it is full of character and buzzes with life at night.  Food is fresh and wonderful.  From sea to plate, from local vegetable garden to plate, and always with a smile - what could be better?  Our local guide could not have been more helpful.  The only thing that stopped me giving this trip a five star "Excellent" review was the failing health of the hotel we stayed in.  Leaking showers and irregular cleaning.  Many rooms overlook the central courtyard and bar which are used to party in at night.  The hotel owners and staff, however, were polite and helpful.
