PETRA & WADI RUM BY BIKE

There were a lot of great moments and so it’s hard to choose one. Panoramic, soul-expanding descents on Days 2 and 4. The dramatic contrast of living in close community with a small group of excellent people in such awe inspiring, often isolated, settings. Floating in the Dead Sea, looking around and seeing only the landscape and my group. Snorkeling in the Red Sea over shipwrecks and schools of sparkling tropical fish.  Sleeping outside under the full moon in Wadi Rum, where the hills almost seem to be breathing.

PRAGUE TO BUDAPEST RIDE

We took this tour in Aug/Sept 2013 with 14 other mates.   We certainly got a full measure of history, culture, architecture, and cycling as we visited ten cities and four countries in ten days.   We scanned the web for tours and this best fit our desire to not spend the whole holiday on the Danube bike path.  I give kudos to Exodus for putting this tour together – it hit a lot of ‘must-see’ destinations in one trip and was most memorable.

DISCOVER COLOMBIA

This trip is ideal for someone caught up in the western world with bad media coverage. Colombia is anything but dangerous and scary. This place stole my heart and this Exodus tour captured just a small portion of Colombia's natural beauty.

CYCLE THE BACKROADS OF SRI LANKA

A great way to appreciate this wonderful country, whilst the emphasis is on cycling there are times when you explore the cultural aspects and view at close hand the fabulous wildlife. For the reasonably fit cyclist then most days are manageable with a couple of challenging ones with climbs or miles in the heat/ humidity - the bus is always close at hand if needed A fabulous trip, beautiful scenery, lovely people, great food, Suresh as an excellent guide and those back roads are quiet and better than the roads in my village - just do it!

PEAKS AND VALLEYS OF THE ATLAS

A really great trek. More challenging than my previous trek in this category. The fitter you are, the more you can do in terms of ascents.

MOUNTAINS & VILLAGES OF CORSICA

Fabulous scenery, great walks, beautiful scents of the maquis, excellent guide (Rudi) etc. etc. Everything I had hoped Corsica would be, and so much more. The trip has inspired me to dot THE big one next year, the GR20. Can't wait !!!

PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI

This is the Masai Mara at its best, a dream trip where you put the time in and hopefully the wildlife rewards you with moments that you will never forget! Forget the concept of time and day and experience and reflect on the endless moments and memories. Take off your watch, turn off your phone and enjoy.

CAPE TOWN AND THE GARDEN ROUTE

This trip was not very good value for money.  Much of the accomodation was charmless and badly located.  A majority lacked wifi which is just not acceptable in this day and age even if the standard in the country is not great.  While our driver was lovely, he was not a guide and did not tell us much about the country.  He also didn't have much knowledge about places to eat or to explore when we had some time - we had to rely on guidebooks and trip adviser (in the few places we could get wifi).  As he did not drink, he was also not very good in the wine region.  The lack of an itinery shows he was not on the take, but 'we will just go into a few places and see where looks good' is not really the standard I would expect.  In addition, the mini bus was very cramped given the amount of time that you had to spend in it.
