A Himalayan Journey - Amritsar to Leh

A HIMALAYAN JOURNEY - AMRITSAR TO LEH

A fascinating trip across the Himalayas to Ladakh by road.  An opportunity to see fantastic high altitude scenery of almost brutal beauty.  Frequently traversing unsurfaced roads with sheer drops adds to the excitement.  In Ladakh we were rewarded with visits to monasteries and stunning views.

Tour du Mont Blanc Camping Trek

MONT BLANC CIRCUIT

A harder trek than I thought but the stunning scenery, especially from the top of each climb, and the sense of achievement at the top of the last climb to Brevent made this a truly rewarding experience.

DISCOVER SRI LANKA

We selected this trip for its variety both in activities and landscapes and we were not disappointed.  Sri Lanka is a wonderfully diverse country with beautiful vistas, rich culture and some of the friendliest people we have met.

Manali to Leh Ride

MANALI TO LEH RIDE

5
This is the ultimate cycling challenge with progressively higher passes, stunning Indian Himalyan panoramas  fast-paced, white knuckle downhills and diverse culture. Mountain bikes have the edge over any other form of transport for this route and, although the weather is famously unpredictable, we were blessed with blue skies and warming rays above 5000m entire ride. Expertly led and the group more resembled a team by the end with great moments of comraderie ontop of the passes.

Nile Cruise

NILE CRUISE

This was an excellent trip; whilst we were always busy with several very early starts to avoid the heat of the day (I went in August) this was always balanced by lazy afternoons usually by a pool to recover. Going in high summer may have seemed strange but the heat was balanced by the fact that it is the low tourist season so, apart from Giza, we were not crowded or rushed in any of the many ancient sites we visited.

Inca Trail & the Amazon Rainforest

INCA TRAIL & THE AMAZON RAINFOREST

5
I had high expectations for this trip and they were all exceeded! I felt like we saw the real Peru and a lot of what it has to offer. The main thing I was looking forward to was trekking the Inca Trail but I enjoyed my time in the Amazon so much I didn't want to leave. The homestay on Lake Titicaca was a fantastic way to finish our time in Peru.
