One of the best trips I've done. Jordans a great country to visit - lots to see, the people are welcoming, and yes it is safe! You don't need to be super fit and the cycling is well organised with high levels of support
Tigers, it truly does matter.. To see these wonderful cats in the wild is infectious, to see the children at the school is infectious, the whole experience in Bandhavgarh leaves you grinning like the Cheshire Cat.. The only question you have at the end of the 10 days is... when can i come back..
the long journey to and from Bandhavgarh was extremely tiring but well worth it, to see to not only Tigers but also Sloth Bears and Jungle Cats was truly brilliant not to mention Owls, Hawks, Kites, Rollers and lots of other great birds, deer and other mammals. There is more to the safari than Tigers.
We were based in a small hotel with a river running outside every window which our group of 19 just about took over. It is in a small French valley town with plenty of ski gear shops & refurbished spa baths perfect for stiff legs. The hoteliers are good-natured and good cooks. With James’ encouragement I tried out my Franglais on them, to which Alain responded with great imagination and generosity.
We realise that every holiday destination is also someone else's home and that we should leave places as we found them. Find out more about how we incorporate responsible travel into our adventure and activity holidays, and how you can help by donating to one of our responsisble travel projects.
