CLASSIC TANZANIA SAFARI

This is a great, if not basic way to experience the African bush and take in the beautiful starry night skies. However, do be prepared for the fact that there are long days spent in the vehicle with very little opportunity to stretch the legs, an activity holiday this is not!  I would also strongly recommend you take binnoculars, not all the game is conveniently located by the side of the road.

I really enjoyed the holiday - beautiful scenery and great company but this trip needs to be researched further before run again. We felt like guinea pigs and did have to move hotels after one was not suitable for a 5 night stay. There were quite a few frustrations within the group about the way the trip was structured. We had few walks in Cappadocia which was a great shame as it was the most fantastic landscape with a beautiful gorge which we really only saw from afar and it had taken a full day to get there! The walking was supposed to be moderate but actually it would have been more representative to call it moderate/ challenging as although the walks were fairly short (sometimes less than half the distance given in the trip notes) there were quite a number of sustained uphill stretches (2-2.5 hours) and a lot of scrambling and unstable ground.

THE INCA TRAIL

Quite simply a fantastic trip - itinerary was well balanced, guides first class, facilities on the trek superb. The atmosphere on the trip was one of enjoyment balanced with challenge and achievement - great insight and explanations from the guides to complement the amazing surroundings.

WALKING THE AMALFI COAST

The combination of beautiful walks and interesting visits in good company with a superb leader would have been sufficient for a good holiday! Add a comfortable hotel providing fresh, local, seasonal food and it becomes an excellent one.

DUBROVNIK & THE DALMATIAN COAST

This was a delightful, mildly active and varied holiday, with beautiful towns and stunning coastline to visit.  A good mix of countryside, towns and culture, and time to enjoy some of the places on our own.  My only critcism is that it really needed to be a day or two longer.

Overall a memorable experience, made acquaintance with so many like minded adventurers from all over the world, and saw wonderfully unspoiled and pristine land. Northern Lights displays exceeded expectations.

KILIMANJARO CLIMB - LEMOSHO ROUTE

An amazing experience - a trip of a lift time that was made by the great group of people and the fantastic guides. Reaching Stella Point as the sun was rising is something I will never forget and made the final trek to Uhuru Peak that much easier. Our head guide Henry was superb as were his assistant guides, Double V, Hans, Ricardo, Halida and Emanuel. Without their support, encourage and positivity I would have struggled to make that final push to the top. Thank you all in helping me achieve my goal of climbing Kilimanjaro.
