DESERT & DELTA

4
Great holiday on the ground in Botswana & Namibia BUT flight arrangments were disappointing (notwithstanding the fact that we queried the connection times before departure) and the brochure did oversell just how much could be fitted into some of the days.  I would recommend the trip but with reservations about the above points.

THE SHADOW OF THE MATTERHORN

4
This is a fantastic trip.  We had a brilliant time with a lovely group of people, and great views of the Matterhorn, Monta Rosa and beyond.  The weather saved the best for the last day when three of us climbed the Breithorn - clear blue sky, sun and stunning views.

WALKING IN BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

I have done a few Exodus holidays in Europe and would actually say that in terms of the scenery and the history of the country it was among the best.  Bosnia is not normally thought of as a holiday destination, but has lots to offer! Also not that many tourists either

SOmetimes the food is good, or the scenery is good, or the guide is good, but all were good including the other people on the trip which you can't always plan.

YELLOWSTONE WILDLIFE TREK

3
I went on the very first Yellowstone Wildlife Trek by Exodus this year so many of the issues I may mention in my review I understand from Exodus were already resolved on the following trips or will be in 2012 departures. I was very excited about this trip (particuarly the specialist guiding - satisfying the scientist part of me), I read the trip notes and also did other background reading so this trip a lot to live up to. Unfortunately not all activities described in the trip notes lived up to expectation. Plus I knew the parks were vast but perhaps Exodus was not explicit enough in the notes that you also experience rather long drives from campsites to trailheads and within parks. This really impacted on some particular days what we saw, what trekking we did in time available and my overall feeling of not truly exploring or experiencing the parks as anticipated.

This was a great trek, a good length both in distance and number of days, changing scenery every day, outstanding views. Being able to expereince some of the local culture was also a real treat.

Gorillas & Masai Mara

GORILLAS & MASAI MARA

5
DEFINITELY DO THIS TRIP !! Absolutely brilliant, if you love wildlife and east african culture I would recommend this trip, if this is your first east african trip it is a must. Wonderful people and wildlife in 3 beautiful countries and you get to go to the fabulous masai mara on your first few days, also to Lake Nakuru with the Rhino's and flamingoes. Across into Uganda where it is more lush and green then Kenya where we stayed at Lake Bunyonyi and visited a childrens Orphanage run by Crystal - Loving Hearts Helping Hands - this was amazing and the walk up to this is lovely, gets you out of breath but the guy who took us stops frequently for everyone. The nature walk at Lake Mburo was really good and we needed a good walk by this time after sitting in the overland vehicle, the Ranger who took us was really informative. Then onward into Rwanda and Ruhengeri where we trekked the fabulous gorillas.
