KILIMANJARO & ZANZIBAR

An amazing experience combining the extremes of the highest mountain in Africa and the most blissful beaches of Zanzibar. Summiting Kili was a hell of a challenge, but was perfectly offset by total relaxation at Kichange Lodge.

SIERRA DE LAS MAMBLAS

Comfortable walking in rural Spain from a base in a small village. Great views, good food and friendly locals. Best of all not a fast food resturant in sight. This is Real Spain.

Plenty of climbing, though not too difficult for the average cyclist. Accomodation was excellent and Erik and Peter were great at showing us around Slovakia and Poland.

LYCIAN ACTIVITY WEEK

I have done this holiday before so I largely knew what to expect. I wasn't disappointed. The itinerary has changed since I last did the holiday, leaving out 2 nights in Dalyan and White Water Rafting and spending the whole week in Kas and substituting Scuba Diving for White Water Rafting. This arrangement gives slightly more holiday time (ie less time spent travelling and checking in and out of hotels) and Scuba Diving is a fair trade for White Water Rafting. Scuba Diving could have been improved for the experienced divers however because the novice divers were on the trip forcing the boat to anchor close to shore (the novice divers are limited to a maximum of 6 metres). I understand that there are some more interesting dive sites around Kas for experienced divers.Hotel Oreo is good and the staff very friendly and Kas is still a fantastic little town.

Described as an exciting/fairly challenging trip, the rapid gain in altitude from Kathmandu [1400m] to Nyalam [3780m] in a day sat in vehicles was both. The Landcruisers in Tibet were poorly maintained, rear seat belts were not available for use, the 4WD did not work, time was lost while stuck in mud/snow and while batteries were moved around trying to get them started. The drivers lacked skills, getting the vehicles stuck again and driving dangerously for no apparent reason, overtaking on blind uphill bends with only plus 1 or 2 mph advantage on the target vehicle all in top gear.

Having been on the Morocco volunteer holidays right from the start this was probably the best. A really great group of people who worked hard as a team to achieve a great deal while still having a lot of fun and laughter.

KENYA & TANZANIA ADVENTURE

We had a fabulous time. The leader was very knowledgeable and the cook was also helpful and friendly. The truck was great and the group of travellers we went with were all very nice and interesting people, and we all got on really well together, which was great and added to our enjoyment of the trip.
