EVEREST EXPLORER

Hilights! Every day was extraordinary!! The drama of a 2hr fog delay at Kathmandu domestic, followed by a rapid liftoff & arrival in sunshine at tiny Lukla via aa stunning display of the East Himalaya range.  Sharing the EBC track life of local rural villages, 2 & 4 footed travellers, some with bells, pretty riverside villages, swing bridges over an icy glacial melt river, teahouse lunches of veg noodle soup & lemon & ginger tea, in stunning locations, cheerful, welcoming lodge diningrooms & staff, bedrooms with beautiful mtn views.

EVEREST EXPLORER

Stunning scenery and a well planned out itinerary.  Rest houses good enough, good to have private bathrooms but can see why this is no longer named "Everest in Luxury".

EVEREST EXPLORER

This is a great adventure for those who want to experience the environment leading up to Everest without the extremes. The trekking is at pace that most can manage whilst maintaining a holiday feel with group fun being the emphasis. I've never previously trekked for 8 consecutive days but this was a great way to test myself and I would certainly consider doing it again having learnt how to maintain a very steady pace for an extended period.

EVEREST IN LUXURY

I enjoyed the fantastic views, seeing Mount Everest, Ama Dablum etc was wonderful and was the reason for going on the trip. I was expecting the paths to be better than they were, and I was not expecting so much precopice walking, although I don't suffer from vertigo several on the trip did and found this very difficult to deal with. The Everst Summit Lodges were lovely and the food there was plentiful and good (the exception was the lodge in Namche Baazar which was definately not up to the "luxury" tag). Unfortunately being hold up in Lukla for an extra 3 days (I know that was less than lots of people) put a damper on the end of the trip because of the additional difficulties the delays made workwise etc. The people we met were wonderful and overall I would say I had a very good enjoyable holiday (with the above exceptions).

EVEREST IN LUXURY

The trip was amazing with great new experiences almost every day.  We had fantastic views of Everest and many other mountains.  Our Leader was exceptional and the group all got on really well.  The Lodges were amazing especially when you consider the difficulties to be overcome in just getting things like electricity and water.

EVEREST IN LUXURY

An excellent introduction to trekking in the Himalayas, with the opportunity for good views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and other high mountains.
