highlights of northern india

The trip to India was amazing a real discovery of the history of the great Moghul emperors of the 15th and 16th century, the food, colours of swirling saris and the tempting smells of fresh cooked meals to the thrilling rides in a tuk tuk and rickshaw boat cruise on the Ganges through the packed and busy roads and railway stations. The holiday was at a fast pace to maximise what was seen and explored. Sights ranged from city palaces to the observatory through to the tiger reserve, to the deserted royal city, to varanasi on the ganges one of the most holy places in india with vast crowds of holy men, pilgrims and casual visitors. The guide who was very well versed on the history, traditions and customs of India met us at the airport, told interesting stories, facts and attended to all our needs making sure we were comfortable throughout the whole journey until he returned us to the airport 10 days later. All hotels and food establishments had been wisely chosen to give variety and opportunities to try the local transport, food and have the opportunity to meet local people. This is my first travel experience with Exodus but would recommend the company to friends and family as in my experience attendtion had been paid to small details to ensure that all travellers had the most amazing, interesting and comfortable trip possible.

Highlights of Northern India Nov 2014

We had a fantastic trip, the itinerary leads to a very busy trip with little time for relaxing but it is definitely worth it to see all of the sights.

Lived up to expectations

a superb introduction to India. a well-designed itinerary means a lot is covered in a short space of time, but never in a way that compromises enjoyment. Culture, religion, history, sights, food (mostly), and the people make this trip so good.

HIGHLIGHT OF NORTHERN INDIA

A very good short introduction to Northern India. A long time is spent on travelling but the variety of sites and experiences balances this out.

Northern India

A great trip to get a real feel of India. Many of the golden triangle trips don't take in the Ganges, which was the main reason we chose this one. I just love that with Exodus the trip notes always represent what you will get.

Saw a lot, Done a lot, Learnt a lot

Visiting another one of the new seven wonders attracted me to this trip, but it was more than just the Taj that made this such an incredible holiday. The Amber Fort, Bollywood cinema in Jaipur, Tiger Reserve twice, traditional Rajasthan dancing, overnight trains, boat ride on the Ganges to name but a few.

Great trip

This is a great trip to some of the highlights of Northern India. Frenetic, and maybe just a little too fast paced at times (my only real gripe but I knew what I was signing up for), there are a huge number of fantastic sights to behold. From the astounding Taj Mahal (it lives up to the hype) to the Amber Palace in Jaipur to tiger spotting in Ranthambore National Park, this trip packs a lot of memorable sights in to just over a week.
