Highlights of Northern India

Amazing trip through Northern India. We covered many sites for the short period of travel, remaining in one location no more than two days at a time. So much to see culturally across India, a "land of contrasts" Each region has slightly different dress, food, handiwork to offer. Tours is each location were led by a local guide with very in depth information to share, friendly, helpful staff in all locations. Never a "dull moment"

An amazing trip! It took a few days to wind down and recover as it is a pretty tiring itinerary, but worth every early morning start to pack so much into such a short time. We really felt we were immersed in the country and the culture and though there is a lot of traveling involved, there are opportunities for a bit of rest and relaxation - take advantage of these when you can. The hotels were all very clean and comfortable and the food and service were excellent. All bar one had a pool too which was an added bonus, though time to enjoy then was a bit limited! If you are looking for a relaxing break with lots of time to lay back and enjoy the sun, this isn't the trip for you. If you are looking for a fantastic experience of this amazing country seeing all the major sights of the region with an excellent tour company, then go for it - you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous advice and guidance, ethical and sustainable throughout. The Taj Mahal was amazing and the boat trip on the river Ganges was inspirational an unexpected highlight. The whole trip was well planned, felt very safe as a solo traveller.

10 jam packed days in an incredible country! As several people have said in their reviews, take the 'leisurely pace' category with a pinch of salt. This isn't a relaxed tour, this is an adventure...but you want to experience India right? Then you're probably not someone who really wants a 'leisurely' holiday anyway! Don't be put off by the early starts, trust me getting up at 4:30am so you're the first people looking at the Taj Mahal in the morning is 100% worth it. As was our early morning bounce around in the canter when we got to see the most incredible tiger lounging around 5m away. The thought of the overnight trains can be a bit daunting but they're great fun and perfectly comfortable. As with every Exodus trip I've been on the group leader has made the trip, looking after 16 people (mainly teachers...no comment) in India is no easy task and he managed it with ease, whilst having a great sense of humour and sharing his local knowledge.

A pretty hectic 9days but so well worth every minute. A truly amazing experience, from the beautiful Taj Mahal to the excitement of the sleeper trains.. one basic and rattling, the other very smooth though late arriving. Came home with memories of colour, smells, noise, the people the curries and amazing architecture of beautiful buildings

Amazing trip and a truly wonderful tour guide

5
We took this trip at the end of last year, delayed review thanks to moving house, but we wanted to say how wonderful it was. Northern India was just beautiful, full of history and this tour, jam packed as it was, covered all of the absolute highlights that you'd hope to see in a relatively short space of time. Our tour guide Ravi was beyond excellent. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable, great fun and somehow able to make the hectic chaos of India's cities seem like an absolute calm and relaxing breeze. We are so thankful to have had Ravi as our guide and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip. A real experience with memories that will stay with us for life.

This was a fast paced trip but we knew that when we booked and it enabled us to see so much of India in a short time . I can't quite believe what we managed to cover! We started at Jaiper were we came across a bridegroom on an elephant and sadly had to turn down an invitation to join in the wedding! From there we moved to Ranthambore National Park were we saw not only a tiger but a leopard ! I don't think many people are lucky enough to see both .We saw the iconic Taj , travelled on overnight sleeper trains (The station at Agra was an experience, we seemed to give the locals something to watch!) There are long distances between the cities but travelling in the minibus was actually wonderful with always something to see. The colours of the saris will be my lasting memory of the trip. Our group size was 12 and they were a totally delightful group of people who all got on really well.

This trip was everything I dreamed of and more! It takes in all the major sights plus game drives to (hopefully) see tigers. The trip culiminates with the memorable experience of the overnight train journey to Varanasi. A highlight of the trip for me.
