Can anyone advise what shoes I should take for the canyoning?  I have been told sneakers will be fine but will buy a special pair of trail shoes if needed - though obviously this is not my preferred option if it is not neccesary.  I'm guessing I'll need a pair of teva or similar sandals (I'm a girl) for the river walk on the first day?

Any other tips for this trip welcome!

Thanks all.

You are not the alone for this as it's not explained well ? i'm taking my walking boots as it did say to with ankle surpports and i did look at some photo doing canyoning at the location most were wearing boots but some with trainers. personally I would like to wear my diving boots as we are going to get wet, but i dont think the rock surface will be good for them. I have now decided to take walking boots, diving boots, trainers and evening shoes at least i'm covered for all eventualities XD

Other things to take is waterproof rucksack/backpack just to save your stuff getting wet as we are playing in or next to water through out the holidayXD oh and plenty of suncream of your choice but would recomend at least 30+ UV factor. the sun in the med can be leathal! and the biggest holiday spoiller!:-( XD

Well i hope that helps? :-))

For Canyonning- i'd recommend a good set of walking boots with sturdy ankle support. The ankle support is paramount as is a grippy sole.

I originally took a pair of old cross country trainers however their grip on wet rock was not comparable to walking boots.

Diving style boots would also be a good addition to your case for the kayaking.

Thanks but I already got some shoes that a friend said would be fine for canyoning. They will be ok for all the bking and kayaking too as they are a hybrid shoe.
